Actions speak louder than words!
A simple way to SHOW the valentines in your life that you love them – service.
We started a Valentine tradition in our family a couple years ago where we do service for each other to show our love. I made a heart bean bag for everyone in the family. After you do a service for someone in the family, you leave the heart to show something was done, but they don’t know who did it. When you receive a heart you have one day to think of something to do for someone else in the family. We start this a week or two before Valentine’s Day so the hearts are constantly being shifted around. It is fun to try and guess who served you – sometimes it gets figured out and sometimes it doesn’t, but either way you know someone was thinking of you and tried to make your life a little easier!
It can be as simple as making the bed for someone you love…
Now go serve your Valentines – even if you don’t leave a heart – guaranteed they will feel LOVED!

I’ve heard about this idea and love it! My friend found foam hearts at Wal-Mart to use for this!

Oh I love this idea and it makes me eager for my kids to get older so we can do this in our house! Teaching our children service is so important and who better to serve than those you love most. Thanks for sharing this wonderful family tradition of yours.

This little secret game that family members play with each other could lead to addiction to serving each other. How clever!

Love the idea. As always, timely and perfect. And these hearts and service are ‘one size fits all’ since everyone in the family can contribute something.
