Saying “buh bye” to winter and “hello” to Spring/Summer is probably my most favorite occasion ever!
I literally get giddy shopping for those new warmer weather options for myself and my family.
The sandals. The dresses. The shorts. I’m here for it all!
One of my most favorite places to hunt for amazing, name brand options at incredible prices is Nordstrom Rack. I’ve been shopping here since I first found out about it when I was at college in Utah! That was QUITE awhile ago now, and I’m still making a frequent appearance in store and online!
I wanted to share a few of my most favorite warmer weather finds for my family!
1. This dress.
When I think classic, I think of this dress. It’s gorgeous! I went with a classic black, but it comes in a TON of other colors too!
From the notched collar to the longer sleeve length to the tiered skirt, it really does have all of the right details!
I feel like the elastic band around the waist really cinches you in and gives you some shape!
The tiered skirt has just the perfect amount of fullness without being over the top. I think it hangs beautifully!
This is an option that will never go out of style! You’ll be wearing it for years since the quality is equally superb!
2. These Sandals
Tevas. I actually had NEVER worn Tevas until LAST YEAR. I finally pulled the hypothetic trigger when one of our readers told me they were the BEST shoe for vacation! Now, I’m buying them for ALL the girls in my family. They’re my go-to time after time. Nordstrom Rack has quite a few different styles/colors at prices that rival anywhere else.
They really are incredibly comfortable. I am taking mine to Europe this Summer because I know they can hold up to a lot of walking.
One friendly tip: be sure that you adjust the straps to just the right place. I didn’t have them correct the first time I wore them and they rubbed wrong. Once I adjusted them a bit, I never had another issue.

3. All things Madewell
One of my all-time favorite clothing brands is Madewell. I just feel like everything is effortlessly cool and I love the simple styles and more neutral color options.
One of my secrets is to shop the brand at Nordstrom Rack. Often, they have some fabulous finds at lower price points than even direct from the retailer!
I find the best things like this pair of straight jeans and this incredibly soften button down!
I never knew a jean could be soft, but these accomplish the goal! They’re actually comfortable. I love the higher rise that kind of tucks everything in just the right spot. 
I finally grabbed the button down I’ve been eyeing for a while. IT’s made of a muslin type material. You know, like the one a lot of baby blankets are made out of? It is SOO lightweight and soft. The perfect fabric for the warmer temperatures coming our way. It has great texture too!
The shirt runs a little longer in back which I love for tucking purposes. 
4. Slip on Sneakers for my little guy
Take it from this mom of 6, buy the slip ons – especially during Summer. My kids are constantly running in and out of the house when the weather gets nice, and knowing my 4-year-old can take his shoes on and off solo is the best. Nordstrom Rack has tons of options, but we always go with a classic tennis shoe that can be worn year round.
This is a newer to me style that I really like.
I think he likes them too. 🙂
5. A light jacket
We get quite a bit of wet weather and wind in the first of Spring, so I’m learning to always carry a light, water repelling jacket for our family members!
I keep them in the trunk of my car most of the time because we basically live out of it during Springs sports! I can’t tell you how many times they’ve come in handy.

6. ALL the athleisure
Flag football. 3 different club volleyball teams. High School varsity tennis. Middle School tennis.
To say we’re a little stretched thin in the Spring sports schedule appointment is putting it lightly. I mean, we love it, but it’s busy! One of my keys to survival is to be PREPARED. This usually means I have lots of snacks AND the right outfit. Athleisure is always the favorite and Nordstrom Rack is the best place to find it!
My all-time favorite brand to find there is Zella. Items are super high quality and I feel like time is put into the thought behind the design.
Take for example these joggers. (Only available in pink now.)
The waist band is thick and so good. Perfect for sitting in the stands and then chasing kids all afternoon. 
I paired it with this super lightweight, breezy, $18 top. It’s great solo, but also wonderful for wearing under a sweatshirt or denim jacket for those chilly Spring mornings out on the soccer field.
I love that side slits because it makes it super easy to tuck in or out!
