“Thank you, Food and Super Bowl parties. For hammering the final nail into the coffin of my new year’s resolution.” –Jimmy Fallon.
Does anyone feel like that right now? It’s been about a month since we all decided to eat better and then comes the Super Bowl and Valentine’s Day. Thrive Snackies are really helping me out right now. Snackies are a prepackaged set of freeze dried snacks that seriously taste like candy. I’m totally obsessed with them. Imagine how happy I was when I saw this little green box on my doorstep last week. They are perfect for on-the-go healthy snacks for you and your family. That’s if you decide to share.
When you order Thrive Snackies you get to choose from a bunch of different options. Most choices are freeze dried fruit. When the fruit is freeze dried, the the flavor is really incredible. The freeze dried coconut for example is the best rendition of coconut I’ve ever tasted be it shredded, strips, milk, etc. And unlike dehydrated fruit, all the nutrients are frozen and preserved, ready for you to eat.
My kids love the bananas. The crunchy texture is a fun change for them and they love it.
I love the grapes. They are so incredibly sweet that they pass for even the sweetest candy. It’s amazing to me how the grapes don’t taste at all like raisins. They taste like, well, grapes!
The peas were fun but not my favorite. But if you have a pea-lover they’d be worth a shot. The corn on the other hand is delightful.
The fruit crisps are to die for. They are basically a yummy smoothie in a little crunchy package. They have three flavors that combine fruits and vegetables.
And the coconut. Mmmmmm. I go to sleep dreaming about these things. They are really tender and melt in your mouth.
And then the pineapple. I actually had to buy an entire can of the freeze dried pineapple because I go through it so fast. But they do have a package you can buy with the Thrive Snackies.
There are other varieties like the yogurt bites that I’m excited to try out. I think they’ll make great on-the-go toddler food when the time comes for my little Snacker. Right now he’s more interested in snacking on his giraffe.
We love to snack (I mean, who doesn’t?) but snacking smart is the way to go. Check out a few more of our healthy snacking options:
