What grandparent do you know that doesn’t love receiving pictures of their grandchildren? The problem is, they don’t usually have room for a picture frame, but they can always find room (fridge) for a place to hang one with a magnet. Or if they do have wall space or empty table tops, you could add a fun metal frame that can be updated with pictures you send to them throughout the year.
A cluster of cute magnets + a plethera of your pictures = some very happy grandparents on Christmas.
I bought the magnet in the picture at WalMart for a decent price, but if you want to make it extra special, try some of these homemade magnet ideas I found:
bottle cap magnets from Eye Candy
bubble marble magnets from the Motherload
If you do make these, be sure to use the extra stong magnets, the little black ones barely hold themselves up, let alone a picture.

I love the idea of getting the kids involved in making those “extra special” magnets! What a great afternoon craft idea! Then the gift would truly be from the kids!

GREAT idea! I’m goign to purchase a magnet board, frame it, and make some cute magnets, then develop pix of grand kids for them to hang! I’m so excited about this! THANK YOU!!!!
