Remember our introduction to the 21 day challenge? And our mid-way check up? Were you able to make it the full 21 days, swishing twice a day with LISTERINE®? If so, you know what I know already…your mouth and gums are feeling healthier and cleaner than ever.
I will admit – one night I went to bed without swishing and I kid you not, I dreamed about it enough that I woke myself up and went straight to the bathroom and swished in the middle of the night. There’s just something awesome about waking up with a clean mouth. I’ve gotten used to it and now I gotta have that clean feeling every morning!
You may have asked yourself why 21 days? Science suggests that it takes 21 days to form a new habit. I can absolutely see that as truth because the first couple of weeks of the challenge, I really had to remind myself to swish. Now, it’s just second nature to swish after I brush my teeth. Yay for not having to think about it! And with 2 kids, my brain power needs to be reserved!
What about flossing? Blah, blah, blah… I know! Everyone knows we should be flossing, but let’s be honest, who does it? It’s such a pain! Listerine has a line of floss that helps make the chore easier. I love using Listerine’s cool mint floss. The burst of mint flavor makes it worth it every time. I love minty freshness.
One thing I have really enjoyed is the daily emails with tips. I chose to receive nutrition tips and have learned a lot just from my daily emails! I’m going to miss it! I like the Listerine challenge – but did you know that if you add about 1/2-1 cup of Listerine to the warm water soak for your pedicure, all those callouses will be a LOT easier to scrub off 🙂
