Thrive Life is having a sale they are calling the BIG DEAL. They have two large sales each year: one over Black Friday weekend $1,000 installment loan and the other in the spring. During these two sales, every single Thrive food storage item is on sale, some as low as 30%-50% off. In addition, the more popular food rotation systems are also on sale.
It is Time to Stock Up!
These are the types of sales that are worth saving up for! If you’ve set some money aside for preparedness, this is the time to spend it stocking up on the items that are most important to you because your money will have more purchasing power. For example, I recently created a well balanced 6 month, 5 person food plan for a friend. The cost last month would have been $3416.70, but since I knew this sale was coming, I told her to wait. For about the same price (they had budgeted $3500) she is getting nearly 8 months worth of food instead of 6. Pretty cool!No matter your budget, you can do the same thing! Spend it during the sale and you will get more food than you would have otherwise.
Alright, on to the sale details:
- It starts today Thursday, April 9th at 12:01 am and runs through Monday, April 20th at 11:59 pm or while supplies last.
- The “while supplies last” is important. Many items will likely sell out within the first few days (they have every other year), so if there is something you are SURE you want, get it on day #1.
- Consider buying items in cases (six #10 cans) as you will save an additional 5% on top of the sale price when you do.
- For simplified shopping, you can see all the products in the sale and add them to your cart from one page HERE.
Here are a few highlights:
Some of my Favorites:
1. Instant Milk
This is hands down the best tasting powdered milk on the market. Learn more about how Thrive instant milk is made here. The sale price is the lowest I’ve seen in over 2 years.
2. Green and Red Bell Peppers
These are a fantastic (and healthy) snack dry, but are great in a lot of recipes too.
3. Peach Slices
These are one of my favorite 4 fruits to snack on (the others being strawberries, grapes and pineapple) and they are packed with vitamins. They also make a mean cobbler.
4. Scrambled Egg Mix
The scrambled eggs are expensive. No way around it. But they are 30% off during the sale (or 37% off if you buy a case) and if you like eggs, then these are worth the money. Don’t use it for baking (use the less expensive powdered eggs instead), but it takes just like fresh scrambled eggs! Each #10 can has 103 eggs in it (about $2.50 / dozen when you buy the case).
5. Chopped Chicken
Meat can be hard to come by in your food storage. Canning your own can be risky and is time consuming. Dehydrated meat can’t be re-hydrated and used in meals and store canned meat has additives and preservatives and isn’t cost effective.Freeze dried meats are AMAZING. This chicken is just that: 100% chicken. And it tastes like it too! It has a 25 year shelf life and is super easy to useI LOVE it on those nights when I forget to thaw out the meat. Lifesaver! Each can contains the equivalent of approximately 8-9 pounds of chicken breasts that you’d buy at the store.
Rotation Systems
The food rotation systems that are on sale are below:
My Favorites:
The Harvest 72″ and Harvest 72″ for #10 cans are on sale for their lowest price. This price only happens twice a year! They are fantastic systems. I own seven of them and LOVE THEM.The bucket shelf is also a great deal. I love my bucket shelves. They are great for anyone with food storage in buckets that want to be able to use it regularly. Happy Shopping!
