My favorite things don’t just include raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. Actually, I don’t even like cats. We’d like to take a moment to recognize a site and blogger friend, Joan Hayes, whom we lost unexpectedly over a week ago. She was supposed to be a part of this Favorite Things event, and suddenly passed away from a heart attack just before this went live. She was a single mom with 3 children, and the website she ran, Chocolate, Chocolate, and More, was her main source of income for her family. Here is a close up and detailed look at the gift I’m giving, These are MY Favorite things and the funny thing is, many of them were suggested by HDS readers! I love when YOU share your favorite things with me, because often they become MY favorite things!

Melissa and Doug Suspend Game -This is a super fun family game that requires balance and some strategy. We love playing it and you will too!

Nessie Soup ladel – I love kitchen tools with a little bit of whimsy. I get so many comments on my “Nessie” (As in Loch Ness), soup ladle.

The Piano Guys CD – I still love CD’s. I keep them in my car. THIS Cd is fantastic. It’s modern day piano music and you’ll be HOOKED!

KitKats – I feel no words are needed. Every present should contain chocolate. Duh.

Adult Coloring Book – Stressed? I can’t express how much coloring can and will help. It’s the cheapest form of therapy around!

3 Button Beanie – It’s getting cold! This beanie from Cents of Style is my favorite way to cover up the hair I didn’t do that and look cute doing it!

Personalized Pillow cases – Each of my kids have one of these personalized pillow cases.  From superheros to princesses to animals, they have a design for everyone. Plus, they’re super soft and high quality! These will be in all my nieces and nephews stockings!
