Easter is at the end of the month. Which means you have probably thought about finding Easter outfits for all your kids and your husband and your dog… but have you thought about finding an Easter outfit for yourself? I know. It sounds like just one more outfit to coordinate so I am going to give you a few ideas to make it easy and make it something you will be able to wear again and again.
Three Easy Tips to Find Your Easter Outfit
So let’s start at the very beginning. Don’t want to pick out a dress with a floral or a print that totally fits the season but probably won’t be “in” after a few months? I have an answer for that.
Start by picking a solid dress in your FAVORITE color.
For me? That’s blue. So I picked out this Basketweave Dress from J. Crew Factory – bonus it is on sale RIGHT NOW! I loved it because it had a weaved texture to it, so it is more than just a solid colored dress. It has fun and dimension.
If you aren’t a blue person, it also comes in coral. And if you aren’t a coral person here is a dress that comes in yellow and purple. And here is one that comes in green and a pretty wine color.
If you would rather find a dress in a color that matches your entire family, that is also an option. The whole idea, though, is to go solid to create an outfit that is less stress.
Alright – so now I have a nice dress that can work for any occasion. It is a great spring color for Easter but it will also carry over to work events, church, interviews, meetings, and so on. Now how am I going to take it from an all those events dress to an Easter Outfit?
Let’s move to the accessories!
I like to find big and bright jewelry to wear with solid colors to add a little detailing up top. It draws the eye up towards your face, adds a statement piece that people can talk about, and – once again – is great because you can trade it in and out with other outfits. No need to get detailing on a dress when you can make more outfits more versatile with statement necklaces!
Okay. And now the last and my most favorite part for taking an outfit from every day to Easter celebration.
Finding shoes with a bold pattern!
Okay, so this is where the real spring festivities come into an outfit. Finding shoes that have a pattern that will tie the Easter vibe into your outfit. And then they will also, you guessed it, be able to be put to good use with all your big spring activities coming up!
I got this pair at Nordstrom Rack and I am IN LOVE with them. The pattern, the heel, the coloring. All of it!
I love bright spring shoes. And I love patterns. And the best part? Shoes last forever and they always fit! So you could have these babies for years and years to come without even thinking twice. I just switched out my floral Jessica Simpson pumps for my Ivanka Trump heels after wearing them down for 5 years.
Dress: J. Crew Factory / Necklace: Similar / Shoes: Similar Style – Similar Print
And with those three steps, I have an Easter outfit – and ALL THREE parts will translate into other outfits. So let’s recap how to put together an Easter outfit with ease. First, find a solid colored dress with character, second add some bold accessories, and third dress up the look with some patterned shoes. Now get out there and find your Easter dress, and come back here to let me know what you put together!
