I have had dogs my whole life. There have only been brief moments when I have not had a dog or two, and I honestly believe that a life without a dog “is a life diminished.”

Lola is my dog now, and she recently turned 10 years old. She has been the most loyal dog I’ve ever had. She always wants to be close and has never needed a leash. Even with a wide open door to the great outdoors, she has always wanted to stay with me. Given the same scenario with my other dogs, I would’ve had to drive around the neighborhood shouting her name.

Loyal, yes. Perfect, no. All dogs have their quirky things but my special Lola has lots. One of these is that she loves to eat all things plastic. Despite all of this, I still love her, and she’s a great dog.
