When my silver gets really dirty, I clean it with baking soda and lemon juice. I sprinkle a little baking soda (or baby powders) on my dog and brush it through her hair in between trips to the groomer. I love sidewalk chalk, but sometimes you need to clean off the chalk. I mix baking powder, a gentle liquid soap, and water into a slurry about the consistency of Soft Scrub. I apply the mixture with a mop, let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes, and mop it up. You don’t want to use the hose to spray the slurry off because the mixture is toxic to plants.

Another use for baking soda. Will remove splinters! Yes, it will….. Make a paste out of baking soda and water. Put a small amount on a bandaid wear it for about an hour. Take off the bandaid and go about your buisness. Before the hour is over you will have a splinter removed from your finger. It forces it to the top of the skin!

Liked the info, but I couldn’t read it all due to the Mobile Strike and Herb Grinder ad that followed and covered everyone. 🙁 I could barely write this as it is covering my words also, so forgive if it is messed up. Ads will not close when you hit the x either.

This one is great and especially good for long hair. Continued use of shampoo and conditioner will eventually leave a build up on your hair and you need to use some sort of stripper. No need! Shampoo your hair with 1 TBS baking soda and 2 TBS shampoo and your hair will be clean and shiny. and feel to good.

hi! im an esthetician (10years) who makes her own bath and beauty products. please be very careful when using baking soda as an exfoliant. the granules are the perfect size for a facial scrub but its very alkaline and can actually dry out your skin. I wouldn’t let it sit on your skin for the long duration she recommends unless your skin is acneic. instead of water, mix it with a little lemon juice or vinegar to neutralize the baking soda. if not, just make sure to use a toner afterward to restore your skins natural ph.

Over the years, tried to clean my fiberglass shower with all kinds of cleansers. After seeing posts of baking soda, Dawn and vinegar I finally tried it. I did not have any Dawn and so I used what I had, Gain dish soap. Put it all into a spray container and sprayed everything, then shut the door and let it sit for at least 2 hours. (I then mowed the grass). I finally sprayed the shower with hot water from the shower hose and it all came off. This is great, and nice to know it works so well. Though ALL direction say Dawn, you can probably use any good product.
