Being married definitely has its “perks” and slumber parties are one of them. It’s the weekend. Put the kids to bed early. Grab a blow up mattress, a sleeping bag (ONE not two}, rent a movie, order pizza, and enjoy a slumber party. Doesn’t that sound romantic? And Fun!? {those late night slumber party giggles are bound to arise}
JeLisa from SterlingSmiths inspired me on this one. She wrote here about how she and her hubby woke up holding hands, cuddled up in their sleeping bag {Too Cute!} JeLisa’s blog focuses on the joys of her marriage. In her words, “Our tiny, seemingly insignificant, day-to-day memories are important to me, and I don’t want their memories or significance to fade over time. So, I write this. And I share it because it’s beautiful to me, so if it ever serves as a blessing to anyone else (whether it warms your heart or gives you a few laughs), that’s an added bonus that I’m so thankful for!”
Isn’t that the sweetest thing? So many of us blog about our kids detailing every cute thing (and not so cute thing) they do. We cherish those moments because life changes so fast. But what about our marriages? -How adorable is it that she keeps a blog about being in love!? Isn’t that the most romantical idea? {yes, i know romantical isn’t a word} Public or private, it would be a treasure for the two of you, as well as your children in years to come. I think I will start my own.
As for tonight,…I’m planning a slumber party! 🙂

Awwww, are you kidding me?
This is awesome! I’m so glad that you enjoyed my post {thanks so much}, and got to enjoy a slumber party of your own! I am absolutely in love with marriage and all the fun it is. Stuff like this really deepens the friendship you and your hubby share, and is so valuable. I hope you’re able to have many, many more (sometimes, with the kiddies!).
By the way, how cool is this site!? I’m definitely a new fan. 🙂

I read JeLisa’s post and wanted to see your post as well. I’m glad her article was as inspirational to others as with me. I’ll be getting married in a few weeks and am very eager. I’ve never been more committed to anything and I want it to work.
April and I will have many slumber parties and do many things to deepen our friendship and love. Love is the best thing. Ain’t nothing like it!

That is such a great idea! I think we’ll have one this weekend, and that is so true about blogging about kids and whatnot. Recently I started a private blog, for my own record, to keep track of reasons why I love my husband, but I never thought of really how important it really is to keep track of these things on a day-to-day basis. And wouldn’t that make you fall more in love anyway? Remembering all the little romances between the two of you?
