Craft Passion
I came across Craft Passion a few months ago when I was looking for ideas on what to do with old shirts…I ran into this idea and had to show and tell! I told Joanne that we wanted to feature her because we love when we find answers to our How Does She…question. She hit the HowDoesShe?… recycle old t-shirts square on the nose. Then I found a tutorial on what to do with old sheets and then…Scroll down and you’ll see!!!
Her site has beautiful pictures with great tutorials and yep…she can sew more than a straight line. I will learn more sewing tricks someday:), but until I do, all you curvy line sewers check out these crafts and dust off the ol’ sewing machine and get busy saving the earth and sewing!
I asked Joanne to send in some information about her…she seemed so mysterious because there is no ‘about’ section on her page…so I was excited to see what she’d send our way and WOW she’s got an impressive resume!!!
She is the Business owner of an engineering company. She holds a Master Degree (UK) of Engineering Business Management. She has taught herself how to craft and started in first grade…it was a crochet water tumbler holder!
Here we go with Joanne from craft passion:
“I started Craft Passion more than a year ago to share my passion in crafted handmade. I love to sew, crochet and knit. Due to recent global warming, I added some recycles crafts. You will find lots of practical tutorials and patterns in Craft Passion. ‘How do I find time to make them and prepare so many tutorials while having to work full time and take care of 2 kids? Passion is the key that drives me there, a helpful and understanding hubby gives me strength, 2 beautiful kids inspired me.” – Joanne
Here are Craft Passion’s recycled crafts!!!
THIS! You know all those old ‘Old Navy’ flag shirts laying around…lay around no longer!
T-Shirt Yarn She’s got a great tutorial on how to make one!
Old sheet…
Recycled Braided Rug Rag tutorial! {{say that 10 times fast}}
Then I saw this… a coin purse
Tiger Coin Purse with a free pattern
Then I saw this…the answer to my son’s obsession with Elmo!
She’s got the Elmo tutorial on how to make them! My son will get a kick out of these!
Okay one more.
Love it!!! I love that we get to see all these fun sites. Hop on over to Craft Passion!
Thanks Joanne for letting us spotlight you!!

More reasons why I want to learn to knit faster! I love Craft Passion, you can tell she really enjoys what she’s doing. Off to Goodwill for sheets to make that rug. Check back in a year, and it might be half done(I really am that slow at knitting!)

I have been trying to link to this Craft Passion site, but I cannot get it to work! I am especially interested in the Macaron Coin Purse. Is there any other site that has posted this tutorial? Thanks!

Currently it sounds like Movable Type is the best blogging platform
out there right now. (from what I’ve read) Is that what you are using on your blog?
