Do you have a favorite piece of clothing that makes an appearance on you at least once a week?
I do.
It’s this yellow and white lovely piece right here.
It just brings sunshine into my life when I wear it.
It combines some of my favorite elements: lace, stripes, yellow and a hint of gold. I find myself looking for any excuse to wear this baby even when it is 113 degrees in Arizona. True story.
(Where I got it: striped cardigan: Nordstroms Rack, Watch neclace: H&M, Blue Dress: Tjmaxx)
And do you know the best part?
It puts me in such a good mood! I am craving bright colors so much that I include it even more in my wardrobe!
(Where I got it? Skirt: Target, Shirt: Old Navy, Shoes: Again Consignment, Shades: Proof)
So my question to you is- how bright are you willing to go?
Would you wear neon?
Growing up in the 80s with fanny packs and slap bracelets- I say yes! It’s been revived from the past and it’s time to include it if you haven’t already.
But for those of you who are not sure- let me take you through some brightness tolerance tips.
1. Find something that mixes neon with neutral colors.
2. Add a neutral piece like a jacket.
I love this denim jacket I got 12 years ago at Zara and STILL wear it whether it is in style or not. It’s just part of me.
3. Bring out the brightest color in the accessories
4. Wear sunglasses to shade your eyes from the brightness.
Okay that is really not a tip-but don’t forget to add shades to any outfit!
What do you think? You ready to try some neon?
Try it and see what you think.
(Where I got it? Dress: Target, Accessories: H&M, Jean Jacket: Zara)
What piece of clothing in your closet do you go back to time and time again?

Umm neon scares me… in the I was a teen/college student in the 80’s memories days. Maybe just a little in the way of accessories… but my teen kids would revolt if it was anything more. A pop of tangerine or coral in the way of a necklace as I’m a pretty neutral girl (aside from flowered socks in winter!)… plus I’m just not sure how good they look on a plus sized gal (and a lot seems to make a short gal even shorter.)
However you look adorable! Love the pops and splashes of color as well as the eclectic mix! Looks good on you!!

Ahh, you are so cute!! Love the jean jacket! I’m really wanting to buy one as of late…I find myself looking every time I go into a store for the perfect jean jacket. Do you have any suggestions for where to buy a cute jean jacket that isn’t too expensive?
