Still stumped on what to do for Father’s Day for the mister?
I remember the good old days when I could just decorate a tie for my dad and make him feel obligated to wear it (sorry dad) or a make a coupon book of chores that I was already supposed to be doing. Easy enough right?
But what do you get your husband- the father of your children?
WHAT DOES MY HUSBAND REALLY WANT FOR FATHER’S DAY FROM HIS WIFE ANYHOW?
When asking my husband that question he replied (like most men would be thinking) immediately with:
” A make-out session.”
Hmmmm not the usual new socks or tie answer I was looking for. But it got me thinking… as of last week I have just entered, what my sister likes to call, the “Flirty and Thirty” stage of my life. So, why not start living up to the title?
So, I decided to take this idea and tweak it a bit to create a love note area in our home right as you head out the door. That way before he heads to work he can see how much I love him and appreciate him as a father and as a husband. I don’t know about you but I just don’t tell my husband that enough.
It’s an EASY and quick gift to make and can easily be done on a budget. I grabbed some already painted frames but you can use any frame and change the color if you prefer- these just so happened to be 50% off at Hobby Lobby and were just the color I needed.
Then I cut out the right size of paper. Note: I stuck with a simple light pattern so the words would not get lost when I wrote my message.
Then, I found this Valentines vinyl for 50% off at Craft Warehouse and decided to add that to the top. Note: you can just print the words on the printer- but I was too scared to mess it up with my temperamental printer. :/
Add some black lettering to complete the phrase “I love you because” and you are almost done!
Then I couldn’t resist using mustaches and red lips to create a memo board to add extra little reminders. Also, I forgot to mention that I took the liberty to make one for myself so he can shower me with love notes as well. 😉

Oh, I love it! We definitely need more love notes! I use to leave them on my hubby’s windshield all the time in our dating days. This is the perfect way to start up again:)

I have had the thought for a while to do dry erase boards for each child on the outside of their doors. This is MUCH cuter than where I was headed! Perfect! I will have the name of each child printed on the tops. As for hubby’s…hmmm…where would that one go?
