Spell out S P R I N G B R E A K!
All you have to do is say SPRING BREAK and I float off to sunny St. George where I spent every Spring Break I can remember. Catching sun out by the pool was always a little chilly, but it never stopped me – I had to get that early spring tan! Now that I have kids, Spring Break means – How am I going to entertain the troops so they don’t run around the house screaming! My sister-in-law came to the rescue with an idea she heard from her friend…SPELL IT OUT! Gather the troops and any friends you like hanging out with and plan your spring break activities together using the letters from Spring Break. For example, have everyone think of where you can go or what you can do that starts with an S…sledding, skiing, snow-mobiling, shopping, supermarket, swimming, etc. Pick one and then do the next letter – P…park, pictures, picnic or take pictures while having a picnic at the park! You get the idea. This will get the kids involved and excited about the activities and give you a plan so you don’t go crazy! Here are some ideas we came up with and had fun doing:
skiing . snow-mobiling . sledding . swimming. super market . show
pool . park . play piano . picnic . pictures
rainbow snow . read . railroad
ice cream . ice cream sundae party
neverland (create your own neverland fort)
golf with grandpa . girl party with grandma . garden
bubble blowers . botanical gardens . blow bubble gum bubbles . biking
race . ride a horse . ride go-carts . ride anything and race them!
eat . elevator . eat IN an elevator
art show . animals . anthropology (oh yeah, this is for the kids, but one quick stop never hurt anyone, right?)
kickin’ it . kitchen . Krispy Kreme
There you have it – your solution to SPRING BREAK craziness!
Hope you have as much fun as we did!
