Favorite Spring Cleaning Tool
Can I tell you about THE BEST purchase I made this year?
Okay, maybe I’m getting old, but it’s honestly amazing. I had friend after friend rave about theirs and tell me to get one.
I thought, “Meh. I have a regular mop. I’m fine. I don’t want to fork over the cash.”
Then, something magical happened.
I found the one I’d been eyeing (based on AMAZING reviews) for a WAREHOUSE DEAL on Amazon.
Now, if you don’t know about Warehouse deals, you’re missing out. They’re items that have been returned, repackaged or maybe, like my mop have “Less than 5% cosmetic damage”…or in other words, a scratch. There’s a 30 day return policy on anything there and I’ve NEVER had a problem. I got $70 off my steam mop and at that price, couldn’t pass it up!
SO, my point is to always check those warehouse deals on any items you’re buying!
My steam mop is my best friend. She’s reliable. She cleans things SO well. She makes my house smell fresh. She kills up to 99.8% of germs and bacteria – which with a new baby coming makes me happy. She’s SO much easier to use than my old school bucket and mop and my floors look better!
You can use a steam mop for lots of things and attachments can help you reach other areas, but there is also a steam cleaner that is awesome. Obviously there are lots of options out there depending on what you are seeking to do. Most of the mops/cleaners come with several attachments, but be sure to pick the one that will work best for the jobs you have. Also, be sure the flooring in your house can USE a steam clean. Some surfaces/brands/types recommend you don’t use steam.
As I started looking, I’m realizing others are having a love affair with their steam cleaners. There is just so dang much you can do with them which you can’t with other cleaning tools.
Just check out all these ideas from genius bloggers:
1. Clean your tile and grout.
2. Clean your oven
3. Clean your mattress.
4. Remove Wallpaper
Steam grandma’s old pink floral print paper off the walls easier!
5. Clean out the funky smell around your kiddos’ toilets.
6. Clean hard water deposits
7. Sanitize your floors
8. Clean Area Rugs
9. Clean Countertops
10. Clean Windows.
Indoor AND outdoor. I like to use mine in the annoyingly gross window tracks! Just steam and wipe!

I totally agree! I bought this model from Costco and I love it. I was hesitant because a lot of steam mops have so-so reviews – people saying they worked great for the first 6 months or year and then broke – so I figured buying it from Costco was the best move since I can always return it if it breaks. I’ve loved it so far, http://www.costco.com/Sienna-Luna-Plus-Steam-Cleaning-System.product.100231478.html

Thanks for the info about Warehouse deals on Amazon. I have a question — how do you find Warehouse Deals on Amazon’s website? I followed your link, of course, but I want to be able to find it at other times when I don’t have your link. All I can find are the regular “deals”, not the warehouse deals….
Thanks!

It is not clear which of the reported ways to use can be accomplished with a steam mop, and which with steam cleaner. I checked out your recommended steam mop, and it does not seem to have any attachments. On the other hand, it is not clear to me if I can use steamer like a steam mop. Would you mind clarifying this?
