It’s with such a heavy heart that I share this post. Our blogging friend Emily, the gorgeous red-head from The Freckled Fox is going through something unimaginable. She has five little ones under the age of six and her husband Martin was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma cancer last year. He has put up an amazing fight and together they have tried everything they can to beat it. Unfortunately the cancer has just been too aggressive and they’re preparing to say goodbye to their sweet dad.
Quote from Emily…
“I could feel my heart getting heavier with every word of her explanation. Then she took a deep breath and said those words so apologetically, “I mean we’re talking a few weeks here, maybe.” I can’t even explain what that felt like. All I know is that I was holding his warm hand, and I saw our five little babies in my mind, and I knew that no matter what happened to Marty that we would all be together. That our family was forever, and that everything would be OK, no matter what.”
If you have a moment, please keep the Meyers in your prayers. You can read their story on her blog at The Freckled Fox or on instagram @thefreckledfox. If you have the means, please consider donating to her fundraiser to help with medical expenses. You can find that here, every penny counts. I think most of all, just be inspired by her story. Let it motivate you to cherish your relationships, to hug those you love just a little tighter and to be grateful for all your beautiful blessings. Their story has the ability to change lives, to bring people closer to Christ and to heal broken spirits. This life is not the end, and there is a beautiful plan in place for each of us. If you can, please spread their story of faith on your blog, instagram, personal facebook page or share it with your family and friends.

Emily and family, although I cannot relate exactly to your pain & anguish, I share the fact that a close friend Was diagnosed with the same type of cancer as your husband… As a Christian I can tell you, there is a GOD, and HE loves you very much. HE does have plans for you & your husband and five beautiful babies. Please lay all your love and faith on HIM, tell HIM every little thing on your heart. Share every moment with your husband & children that you can together… Allow GOD to comfort and console you both, HE does have a place for you both. HE is all about Love & Light , and HE wants you to know that HE loves you so very much, and your husband also… HE alone can take care of your every need, just rely on HIM.
I pray for your husband’s comfort, and for your heart to be still, and let GOD fill you with his LOVE… To take the pain & heart ache and hold & cover you with HIS amazing GRACE… Because it was by HIS great love thru HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST, that we are even able to come straight to the throne of GOD, and lay all our worries at HIS feet. To feel HIS very presence and know that we will ALL be together again one day soon… Please know you are loved my Sister & Brother, you are not alone, many are praying for you, just as I am also. Please remember Psalm 23, The LORD is my SHEPARD… For HE truly is. Until we meet one day, I will pray earnestly for you all! ??? Love in CHRIST Janet W.
