Birthdays
I am THE WORST person to be writing this post about remembering people’s birthdays because, well… I don’t. But, that also makes me the best person to write this post because I did a lot of research about how to fix this little fault of mine. This is what I came up with – The Birthday Box.
I started with a list of all the birthdays I want to remember, categorized by month. Here is a free template from cici studio if you need one.
I then purchased or made enough cards for everyone on this list. I got mine from Vista Prints for free – click here to do the same. I used the free post cards with the polka dot background and turned them into Happy Birthday cards. Thanks, Alison for this genius idea – see her post here!
Then I wrote on them, stamped them with forever stamps, and organized them in my BIRTHDAY BOX by month. (Hint: don’t seal your envelope yet, in case you want to add a little note later in the year). Now once a week, my day is Sunday, I am going to check my BIRTHDAY BOX and send any cards that need to be delivered that week.
Happy Birthday will not have to be belated again…I hope!
Update: I just found cute idea for kinda the same idea at nanygoat. If you are crafty, this could be fun.

My aunt has a similar system that I have envied for years. She also has tons of other greeting cards that she collects as she finds cute ones. She’s always sending sweet cards just to say hi and I’m thinking of you. They always make my day.
Thanks for the great tip!

I love the Reminder Spot http://www.reminderspot.com/ and it is FREE. Just enter in the names and dates for the special occasions you want to remember and it will e-mail and/or text message you (your choice). You can be reminded 1, 3, and/or 7 days before the event. You can share the dates with your family too so they don’t have to re-enter all of them. It will also tell you how old the person is turning or how long they have been married for an anniversary. Love it! This would be great to do in combo with the card system!
