Happy April everyone! Typically I would have come up with something really clever to April Fool’s you all with. But after trying to come up with something REAL good for about 10 minutes, I decided that I didn’t put on my clever brain today, and switched gears to shorts instead. The great revealing of the gams is right around the corner folks – and we’ve gots to be prepared. So let’s hop to it shall we? First of all, my whole life I’ve been a huge fan of the longer shorts. Typically because when I was younger, there was no difference in leg shape from my calf to my thigh… it just went straight up. And let’s be honest, nobody wants to see that. Since getting older … not much has changed in the whole toothpick department. SO, I’ll still be covering up this season. Whatever YOUR reason for wanting a little length this summer, I’ve gathered a couple options around the web, all of which … when paired with the right wedge or strappy sandal … have the potential to make you feel comfortable, covered-up and downright smokin. Enjoy friends. And happy spring!!

thanks Sydney! happy april to you too. I appreciate the ideas for longer shorts. I co-direct a summer camp and our dress code for shorts is around knee length … but they can be really hard to find. american eagle sometimes has them, and jcpenney has a lot right now too.

Ah mom shorts. Never thought I’d say this, but I love em! I, too, have toothpicks that I like to call legs. Long shorts are always adorable with the right top/shoes. Thanks for the links!

Love the looks, but I’m not one of those people who’s good at looking at something and seeing how it’ll look on me. My body does NOT look like any of those models and with 2 toddlers, going try on a bunch of styles isn’t really an option for me. These look great, I just wish there was info on how they looked on a body type other than a model.

Great finds! Loving #2 and #5. And I thought my shorts days were over. Maybe not.
