Who said you couldn’t make an easy pancake recipe without milk?
That’s great news for all our dairy-free friends!
This is a recipe that my kiddos helped me create. (As in, my very devoted taste testers whenever I am creating a new recipe.)
This recipe is easy fast and have a slightly sweet and buttery flavor to them. It is a must if you must make oodles of pancakes because your kiddos eat oodles of pancakes. If you don’t have any milk on hand or if your kiddos can’t have milk this recipe is golden.
This recipe has only eight simple ingredients in it!
Easy Pancake Recipe without Milk
Ingredients:
1 ½ c. all-purpose flour
1 Tbl honey
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp Himalayan sea salt
1 ¾ c. water
1 splash of vanilla extract
1 large egg
2 Tbl of room temperature butter
(you will need extra butter for the cooking)
The secret to the buttery taste is cutting the butter into the flour!
Until it looks like this.
Make a well in the middle of the flour and butter mixture and add in the rest of the ingredients!
Mix until you see all those little pieces of buttery goodness.
Now it is time to cook them up! Cast Iron is one of my favorite ways to cook but you can use what ever pan you have on hand.
Those bubbles are showing! It is time to flip.
Perfection! Now it’s time to enjoy them!
