Clip Board Tutorial
My daughters are always stealing my clip board! Yes, I do have a clip board and yes I do use it{even in public}. I wanted to reclaim my treasure so I got these clip boards at the dollar store and decided to dress them up a bit. 
1. Choose your paper. Cut around the clip ‘thing’ at the top. 
2. Smear Mod Podge ALL over the board. Try not to get it on the clip, but around it!
3. Place your paper on and squish it. Click here for 10 steps to perfect mod podging.
4. I wanted to make it a tad more fancy and add a ribbon. I used the crop-a-dile and punched a hole in it. Funny thing about that…my daughters were helping me make these clip boards and were in awe that mommy was strong enough to punch a hole through ‘wood’…it’s chip board (I didn’t tell them).
5. Now to choose which I want to keep and which ones for my daughters!
6. Pair this up with some paper and markers and you’ve got a cute art present for a friend, niece, or sister!

My boys would love these with Superman and Batman paper, or maybe sports themed? – they could use it for all their drawings! Maybe I will attach a pencil with string to that hole instead of ribbon and then they will quit stealing mine…right?

I saw these made at a church event 2 years ago. I made one and use it to hang my bills… but now seeing your “inbox tutorial” I will need to find something else to hang… I guess I am heading over to the free downloads of lists for options!! I’ve seen people do these before- only with pictures and embellishments – meant for decoration and too bulky for actual use. I like this version better, I think, because it’s cute and still retains function. Some of the people’s ideas for making some for boys and such is great- I think this could be a cute teacher gift- if I could get them inexpensively enough, it’s a possibility for a craft for our MOPS group. I think I’m going to be getting a lot of great ideas from here for that, thanks!! 🙂

What a fun idea! My kids and I made these for their teachers today. I was a brave mom and let them do the Mod Podge which they absolutely loved. I can’t wait to give them to the teachers tomorrow. One note, this project was much easier with heavier paper. I did one of each and the thin paper bubbled and looked terrible, I ripped it off and started over. Thanks again for the very fun ideas!

This project is on my agenda, I bought the Mod Podge, now if I can remember where I put it! I even bought the book and the book’s on my chest of drawers, now where did I put the ModPodge is another mystery. Oh well, I’ll find it in either of two rooms. I wanted to find mine to see if I bought the correct type. Which did you use to apply to your clipboard?
