I love me some button-up shirts! My favorite way to wear them lately is to button them up all the way to my neck. It’s a great way to get extra skin coverage stylishly if you’re all about modesty. But sometimes it can look too stuffy or like it’s lacking something. If you’re not sure what, here are six ways you can spice up an old button-up into a glamorous old button-up.
Wear a sweater over it! If you don’t want to look like a man (see first picture), wear a cardigan instead. Belting is not optional.
Or wear a necklace right at your collar! AND wear a sweater! AND belt it!
Double your necklaces for some extra glam.
Are necklaces too much for you? Pin a broach at your collar! Be careful you don’t pierce your neck! It may have happened to somebody more than once.. Okay, three times.
Get inventive with your broach and necklace and combine them to create the ultimate collar bling. I simply pinned my broach at my collar and then notched my necklace in the back to match it up with the broach.
Or get a ribbon or sash and make a bow.
What is your favorite way to wear a button-up?
