My FAVORITE sale is coming!
The Fancy Farm Girls are coming!
1/2 of my house is furnished from great pieces I have found at the Fancy Farm Girls’ sales. I’m not kidding.
Along with this most coveted sale, comes inspiring ideas for us! We are so lucky to have the Fancy Farm Girls’ talent with us again today to share some FANTASTIC Mother’s Day gift ideas.
——————————————
You’ve been inspired all week with great, from the heart, Mother’s Day ideas. I love that all the ideas have such a personal touch to them. We girls love knowing that some thought was put into our gifts. How about taking mom’s most personal cherished posessions (her kids, would be the right answer:)) and displaying them in a new creative way. We Fancy Farmgirls love re-purposing items into functional pieces for your home. With a little “thinking outside the box” you can give Mom some great new ways to display what makes her a Mom. Those stinkin cute kids!
Old windows have become a way to bring some architectural interest into a room. They can serve as a great backdrop to display your photos. No expensive framing or matting required.
And speaking of framing, what to do with all those outdated scenery pictures you may have stored away or come across in your thrifting or yard saleing adventures. Toss out the picture, paint the frame and staple in some chicken wire. Embellish some clothespins and voila! How cute is that.
Or even easier, skip the chicken wire and add some jute string across and clip on your pics with mini clips or clothespins. And so easy to change out the pictures whenever the mood strikes.
Old shutters, oh i love me some old shutters. The more beat up the better. Again, such an easy and creative way to display photos.
You’ve heard the saying, “If I could just bottle you up….” Well, do it! Slip some pictures inside some old canning jars or bottles and “preserve” those memories.
Or display them under a cloche. Everything’s cuter under a cloche!
Silhouettes are all the rage right now and I think they’re such a classic look that will never be outdated for your decor. Best part of all, your kid can have a peanut butter face, an ugly old t-shirt and it doesn’t matter! Take a picture of their profile and paint over the photo with black paint. So easy! No coordinating outfits, no crazy photo shoots of children wailing and knashing teeth. No frazzled momma’s wailing and knashing their teeth (this happens to everyone….right?). A great classic look that will preserve that cute little pug nose forever.
Not feeling your crafty mojo right now. That’s ok! We just happen to be having a sale! A barn full of refurbished items perfect for mom…and you! Big furniture, small furniture, accessories, cute flirty aprons, jewelry. We have it all and then some! Bring your mom, bring your girlfriends, bring your truck and head on over to the big ol’ barn on Friday, May 18th.
You can also purchase gift cards to give to Mom to use at our sale.
