You know how it goes…
All of a sudden it’s the BIG day or someone volunteers you to host the BIG day {even if it is yourself, out of the kindness of your heart}…
and you need something that says, “PARTY” but is also quick to assemble and inexpensive.
{{This happened to me not too long ago…thankfully, I have a brilliant sister-in-law that shared her idea.}}
So, here it is: the new twist on crepe paper, party streamers:
The Paper Streamer Banner
Select a few crepe paper rolls perfect for your party’s colors, but don’t forget to add a patterned one – it adds so much more playfulness! {They can be found at party stores, if not at the dollar store}.
Cut your strips to the desired length, depending on where you plan to hang it. I just pulled and cut mine between 12″ – 18″ because I wanted more of random look.
Fold the top of your strip over about one inch…
…and stick it on your sewing machine! Follow up with the next strip and continue until it gets as wide as you need it to be! {I love that it’s only a simple, straight stitch…it goes by so fast!}
Pull a little extra thread at the end to use to hang it up.
Hang it in your windows, in the doorways, over a table, on a 4-post bed, on a mantle, on the deck…the places are endless!
For a finished look, carefully fold the end of each streamer in half and cut at a 45 degree angle.
I loved how it looked from the outside…a great way to tell people that “The Party is HERE!”
It is sooooo easy and instantly adds the feeling of celebration! What could be better?
Where do you plan to hang your festive paper Party Streamer Banner?
