Hi there again!
Can you believe that Valentines Day is just around the corner? geeeeesh! I feel like time goes by faster and faster the older I get! Even though my husband and I RARELY go out on Valentines Day (he hates crowds) it is still fun to go all out with the cute outfit, pretty face of makeup and completing the look with a gorgeous hairstyle! So here are three cute and romantic hairstyles that you guys can try out for your night out or in (in my case)! Hope you all enjoy and take care! If you try recreating the look I would love for you to tag me in your pictures on Instagram here!
I thought that it would be fun to do a little fashion post along with the hairstyles to provide some fun inspiration for everyone! Please let us know if this is something that you all enjoy.
I wanted to put a couple of different options on here that you all could recreate with what you already have in your closet. And yes expect to see valentines day inspired colors with this post because I am that girl who wears green on St. Pattys day, pastels on Easter, browns, oranges and deep yellows around thanksgiving, and red and greens for Christmas so you better bet your butts that I will be wearing red and pink for valentines day! Whether your personal style leans more towards being casual and comfortable, preppy and fun or you want to keep things sexy and sophisticated I tried to get a little something in here that every woman can enjoy.
Shirt: Express / Scarf: Old Navy / Jeans: H&M / Booties: Forever 21
Please excuse the awkward pose for the full body shot, I’m not quite sure what I’m doing there! ha! One of my favorite ways to wear a scarf is to wear it around the neck and belted at the waist, it is seriously the best and most flattering way to wear them! Try it! In the end the scarf actually looks like a vest and the bottom hides anything you want covered while the belt will define your natural waist giving you that very slimming look, and who doesn’t want that? I paired this colorful scarf with some grey skinnies, booties and a pop of color with the turquoise cuff. You can tweak this look any way you want or feel comfortable, I’m not one to wear a lot of jewelry so for me less is always more although, I love when people have really neat bohemian type jewelry and messy hair topped with a fedora hat! The options are endless just let your creative self out and go cray cray!
Blue button down: Old Navy / Colorful top, and Blush jacket: Forever 21 / Grey skinnies: h&m / Loafers: Old Navy
With the second look I wanted to keep with the layers, and preppiness that is so in right now while still keeping things comfortable and casual. I paired a cute boyfriend button down shirt under a top that was a little but more loud and colorful to tame it down and mature it a little bit. I stuck with the grey skinnies because grey seems to be ALL over right now as far as jeans go, and just stuck with a cute neutral pair of blue loafers and a pretty pearl necklace to add that romantic flair that all of us girls seem to go nuts for! Oh and just so everyone knows I’m 6’1” and these jeans were $15 buck at H&M, can I get a Holla! I have never been able to just walk into a store and buy jeans off the rack because they always end up being ankle pants, and not in a cute way! So if you are a tall or long legged gal like myself go to h&m because they have killer sales and longer lengths!
Top: Chicos (my moms) / Skirt: Kingdom and State / Heels: Nordstrom Rack
Now for the sexy sophisticated ladies out there, I wanted to create a simple look that you could wear with hair up and in a bun or down in romantic waves or anywhere in between. Even though this skirt is fitted to complement a woman’s curves it provides a longer midi length to keep things sophisticated and mature. I just paired it with come chunky heels and a beautiful wine colored button down. I also wanted to add a couple of layered necklaces that added a little bit of sparkle and romance to the look. I feel like this skirt is versatile enough to go the complete opposite direction though pairing it with a rock and roll boyfriend type tee shirt, denim jacket, booties and a funky braided updo or a black fedora hat while wearing your hair down and messy!
Well guys I hope that you enjoyed these looks and that you have fun recreating them in your own way! I hope you have a wonderful valentines day spent with the ones you love most! Muah!
