7. Magnatab – This toy comes in several versions – letter, number and a “free” play grid. It has little holes in them with magnet balls (enclosed inside) which you “pull up” with a magnetic stylus. My kids can sit for hours and play with this baby. Even my 18 month hold choose it to play with!

8. See and Spell – Another Melissa and Doug creation (Anyone else addicted?). This one is great for a kid just learning letters or even an older one learning to spell.

9. Wikki Stix – These little waxy “pipe cleaners” are the simplest thing ever, but boy are they fun. Kids can create anything from flowers to buildings with them. We like to practice our letters with them! A fantastic quiet time toy and easy to throw in your purse for “emergencies”! ha.

10. Water Wows– These reusable water color books are fun for all ages. They have books on just about everything from letters to numbers to fun coloring pages. These are convenient, not messy and a great road trip toy!

11. Plasma Cars – The outdoor (or indoor if you’re wild like us!) riding toy that NEVER gets old….for anyone…including dad lately! These cars move when you wiggle the handle and boy do they GO! Love a good plasma car race. Totally a MUST HAVE.
