#29 Neighbor Christmas Gift Idea -Brownies.
This one is FAST, Cheap and stinkin’ Cute. Shelley did this for our family last year and it made us laugh!
I painted the handle of a wooden spoon red and used a white paint pen to make the dots. Then tied a matching ribbon on it (the ribbon was on sale at Michael’s!).
I found some wooden spoonsat the dollar store or if you live close to an Ikea they have some cheap ones too!
I used a white paint pen to make the poka dots…
Attach a wooden spoon to a box of brownies, cake mix, muffins, etc.
‘Christmas is Jolly, Christmas is sweet. I’m stressed out so make your own darn treat!
Couponers…this is the time to stock up on items for sale. The Brownie mix…we got for free. They were on sale at Albertson’s for $1 and I had a coupon for $1 off 2. It would make it $0.50 per box, but ‘doublers’ were out so my coupon was worth $1 off one making them free!! Dont forget to check out our top coupononing links.

Love this idea and glad you posted it. I gave brownie mix and wooden spoons like this a couple of years ago to my employees. I also included a red & white dish cloth. It was thoughtful and creative and would definitely be used by all!

And if everyone is getting treats from others at the holidays…a brownie mix might be very welcome because it can be used later!

Thanks for this idea! I got a ton of boxed cookie and brownie mixes, for free with my coupons this year and wanted to give them as neighbor gifts! So, I was trying to work on something cute to add to the tag and I thought this was awesome and very clever! I LOVE IT! I hope my neighbors get a good laugh out of it!

We did this a couple years ago but our note said, “Roses are red. Christmas is sweet. We’re busy this year so make your own darn treat. We had so many people call and say thanks, there were tons of laughs etc. One couple even called us, right after we’d passed them out and asked if they could copy us. Of course we said yes, since I’d got the idea from someone else anyway. Before they were off the phone they were grabbing the keys to go get brownies.
Another idea we did (last year is took a picture of the kids with duct tape on their mouths and we put it in a card that said, “Joy to the World.” You could also use “Silent Night”.
