One thing I’ve really found myself experimenting with lately are beauty products. I don’t know what happened, but I entered my 30’s (a few years ago), and I felt like my skin really started to change. I felt like I needed to try out some new things to combat the negatives and enhance the positives. I’m no beauty expert, but I do like things that help me to look as well rested as possible with 5 kids under 8. I don’t like to spend a ton on makeup/skin/hair products, but I am willing to spend a bit on items that are WORTH IT. Maybe you’re the same way. or maybe you’re just a beauty product ADDICT. I respect that.
You gals LOVED the post I did about the TOP 11 Things I’ve ever purchased off Amazon HERE, so I thought it might be fun to do a Beauty version.
If you don’ t know it by now, I am a self admitting Amazon addict. Prime membership is literally life changing. I love 2 day shipping and I love their customer service. (You can get a free 30 day trial here!) Most of all, I love that I don’t have to enter the store with my 5 kids. I avoid those stores like the plague. Anyone else?
Maybe you’ve heard me mention some of these items before, but I wanted them all in one place for you. One pretty little list for you to refer to!
All of these items I personally purchased via Amazon. Some are available at other places, but Amazon is just my go-to. It’s easy.

Wet Brush
I have two 6 year old daughters. One has really stringy and thin hair while the other has a really sensitive head of THICK hair. I can not tell you how life saving these brushes are post bath or pool. I don’t know what it is about their design, but they literally slide through any tangle and do so with less pain. Honestly, if my girls see me pull out any brush BESIDES this one, they have minor melt downs. It’s just softer, and also, prevents breakage. LOVE these. I also buy mini size and put them in my pool bag and purse. -
Marrekesh Oil
I recently came across this hair oil thanks to a friend. I’ve tried a lot of oils in my day, and often they leave my hair feeling heavier and even a bit greasy. This one is nectar of the gods. REALLY. It smooths your hair, detangles, leaves a shine and SMELLS LIKE HEAVEN. I’ve raved about this on Facebook and I’ll keep raving about it till everyone of you, my friends, buys it! It’s worth every penny and I’d sacrifice a month’s worth of Sonic crushed ice drink runs to have it.

Aztec Face Mask
First of all, you’re welcome for this ridiculous photo. I took it just for you. Here’s the deal, most of us DO NOT have an extra couple of hours to sit at the spa each week. Sure wish I did! I bought this face mask purely on the reviews. I mean, if it has THAT many positive ones, it has to be good right? I LOVE this mask. I mix a little with some apple cider vinegar, slap on my face, let it dry for about 8 minutes, and then wash off. I feel like it cleans out my pores and refreshes my poor skin. I do this about once a week and love it each time. Just did it last night in fact! -
Skin Food Undereye Concealer
This was another recommendation from a friend, who heard about it from a beauty blogger (love those ladies!). This is actually a Korean beauty product and I’m a huge fan. It’s not a super thick, high coverage concealer like some I have used before. It’s a salmon color and counteracts the under eye circles I’ve been rockin’ since 2009 (aka birth of baby #1 of 5). I feel like this really brightens my eyes and makes me appear much more rested than I really am. On pool days or days that I don’t want to put on makeup, I just use a little of this and I look less like the walking dead. -
Skin Food Black Sugar Scrub
It’s time to say BUH BYE to your dull winter skin and get that summer glow ready! First thing to do? Sluff off all that nasty dead and BLAH skin. This is another Korean beauty find that I adore. It’s strong enough to get the job done, but gentle enough to not irritate your skin. I notice, when I use it, my black heads are almost always eliminated.

Stila Stay All Day Eyeliner
Not much to say about this one except, it’s the best eyeliner I’ve found. Most importantly, it doesn’t smudge all day. A lot of liners end up smudged up to your eyebrows and down to chin by the end of the day and seriously, who wants that? This little pen enables you to have a clear line of eyeliner and STAYS all day. I have yet to find one I like more. This is one item I am willing to spend a tad more on simply because, it’s worth it.

Blackhead extractor kit
This was my husbands pick, along with mine. Guys, if you’re a picker this is for you. Even if you’re NOT a picker, this is for you. These little tools, that resemble something from a torture chamber, are so handy. You can use them to extract blackheads, whiteheads, or any other creepy thing you might find haunting your face. I first saw these at my esthetician’s house, and when properly used, they can really make a difference in your skin. Also, who doesn’t like to see all that junk that comes out of black heads? You know you do. (Cue satisfied dry heaving).
-
Batiste Dry Shampoo
This is still my solid choice for favorite dry shampoo. I use it for the obvious – oily day 3 hair, but also for added volume. I like this brand because it doesn’t leave any nasty white film like some dry shampoos seem to do. I love that it comes in so many yummy scents too. I have to say the classic remains my favorite though. I will recommend if you have darker hair to use the brunette formula!

PediFoot
Pedicures are the best thing ever, but sometimes you might not have time or money to indulge in one. This little machine has changed my feet forever. Not to get too personal or gross (I say this after discussing popping whiteheads), but my feet were getting so bad and I was even getting painful corns on the balls of my feet. Ugh. This little guy automatically rotates to remove all the dead skin on your feet. I am not going to lie when I tell you, the satisfaction that comes from a leftover pile of dead, dry, nasty foot skin is amazing. You will seriously feel the difference immediately as your feet are left feeling so soft. This is a medicine/beauty cabinet MUST HAVE.

Tinkle Razors
Yep. Talking about these again. If you have missed them on our social media, these are the most inexpensive tools that pack a mean punch. They are “razors” (They’re pretty dull so I hate to refer to them as razors.) that remove all your facial unwanted hairs and peach fuzz while gently exfoliating as well. I’m not extremely hairy, but I have a lot of blonde peach fuzz. I use this about once a week and remove that peach fuzz, and my skin gets that flawless finish look much easier. And, NO, your hair does not grow back darker. I knew you were going to ask that. These are also great for cleaning up your eyebrows or for the occasional dark/hard hair that might pop up (Dang those little boogers).

Tan Towels
Sunless tanners are often the chatter with women, especially in the Spring. Everyone wants a good, orange free, streak free tan. I have always used and ADORED this sunless tanner applied with this mitt. I still stand by that it is one of the best out there for a beautiful (and safe!) summer glow; however, I recently tried these little guys. They. are. AWESOME. When I saw the towels, I thought, there is NO WAY this can tan my whole body, but it did! (Just a note: I use on my arms, legs, chest, and lightly on my face. I do not put on my torso/stomach most of the time because no one sees it but my hubby.) The application is easier than ANY sunless tanner in the history of sunless tanners. You just wipe in a circular motion. I didn’t have one streak! I will say the tan isn’t as dark as many of my sunless tanners, but these are great for a nice, warm glow. Also, these are fantastic to take on vacation. They’re light and portable and there is no mess. Grab these. You’ll be ready for summer in no time.
