More recently, I have become the parent of 3 teenagers. I’m not quite sure how this happened since I’m still 25 (wink wink), alas here we are. 2 of those teenagers are my twin daughters and though they are the best thing to ever happen to me, I have to admit that shopping for them has been somewhat difficult in the past.
No longer!
You see, said teens are very picky about what they wear and as they come into their own styles, it’s fun to witness. The struggle has been finding clothing that not only fits their style, but also their ever changing, growing bodies. My daughters are pretty tall and thin and finding jeans that are long enough (and small enough in the waist) has been a feat in and of itself.
We always find the BEST options at Kohl’s.
Kohl’s has such a wide range of styles and sizes. I mean, 00 tall isn’t always easy to find! We are confident we can walk in the store or shop online and find what we need every time!
Not to mention, they have some of the best sales around. You can almost always find a promo code or earn Kohl’s cash that sweetens the shopping game!
Here’s what we found this go- around. Maybe it will help you shop for your teen?
1. This boyfriend cardigan:
I’m a huge fan of what I deemed “grandpa cardigans”. I think they just look fabulous on any woman of any age. They’re effortless. Just throw them on over a layering tee (more about our favorite one coming up) and jeans, and you have a put together, but easy outfit to rock!
This one is so soft and the attention to detail is top notch! It fits slightly oversized so remember that when choosing sizing. We went with an extra small. 
2. The best layering henley
I don’t know about anyone else, but sometimes finding basics can be a struggle. Options are too tight, too thin, or too see through! That’s why this henley is so fantastic. IT’s finely ribbed so it has a little texture to it. The snaps are functional and just give a basic tee an elevated look. It’s perfect to layer when the weather isn’t quite warm enough, or to wear alone under things like overalls.
This particular top is very affordable and will, no doubt, you will get a TON of wear out of it!
3. These flare jeans
I mean, can you even? Pretty sure we’re back in the 90’s in so many styles and I’m here for it. These flare jeans are the CUTEST. First and foremost, they fit like a GEM. My daughter’s in this strange in between phase of girls’ sizes being too small, but women’s sizes being too big. These fit like a gem! They come in short and long sizes too!
The cargo detail is right on trend, but I loved this version in particular because it’s pretty subtle. It’s not a huge pocket worthy of carrying dad’s hammer, but just small and perfect!

4. These wide leg jeans
Speaking of jeans, here’s another super popular option – the wide leg jean!
This particular style has now almost sold out, but there are many options HERE.
I feel like wide leg is such a fine line between chic and stylish and border line sloppy; so when we found this option that worked so well, naturally we had to have 2.
I mean, how could you not?
Love the variety of colors. The fit. The destroyed knee (that isn’t TOO much!).
It all just works so well!
You can really pair these jeans with just about any top. We tried it with that forementioned henley, AND this gorgeous sweater option.
Sidenote: This sweater is perfect for Spring because it’s so lightweight and airy! Love it!
I will add that these jeans do fit a little big in the hip area. If you don’t have a lot of hip, you should try a size down!
5. These slip-on mules
Nothing says “fashion replays itself” like these slip-on mules, or as we lovingly call them, “potato shoes”. Not going to lie, these are one of my FAVORITE trends that’s back. My daughter’s and I both own a pair because they’re just so easy to slide on and go. Plus, I feel like they really work with just about any outfit. She owned in tan, but I love the black option too! At this price, you’ll be able to buy one of each color happily!
