“I have been LOVING the THRIVE food I ordered. It is super convenient and tastes really good…my harshest critics (my kids) are devouring it! I love on busy days having a healthy hot meal ready in 15 minutes! But it can be a bit overwhelming knowing where to start – luckily we have Misty here to help us get started!”

Where to Start?:
When I teach a class about cooking with freeze dried food, the #1 question I get at the end of a class is:
“Where do I start?”
After watching how quickly I can make a meal and then tasting how great that meal is, people get it! They get that freeze dried food tastes good. They get that it can save them time and money in the kitchen. They get that it is even healthier than the produce they are buying at the grocery store. They are excited!
But they are also overwhelmed. There are over 160 Thrive food products and few people can afford to buy all 160! So again, the question is “Where do I start?”
Maybe you feel similarly. You’ve read some of my recent posts about freeze dried foods, and you’d like to try them, but aren’t sure where to start.
Smart Start: Taste of Thrive
Thrive Life has recently created a new package called the Smart Start: Taste of Thrive package that answers that exact question. Taste of Thrive makes a fantastic sample pack and it gives you a great start on the absolute best Thrive products.
Carefully Selected products:
Each Taste of Thrive package (there are three) offers small (about 3 cup) size cans of the most convenient and time-saving THRIVE products. Each product offered in each of the Taste of Thrive packages has been included to help you start using just a “taste of Thrive” in the meals your family already loves: YOUR family’s favorite recipes!
A Personal Thrive Coach
In addition to the most popular and helpful food items, each Taste of Thrive package also includes a bunch of tools you need to start using those foods in your favorite meals right away. The first month’s package includes the all new Thrive User Guide.
This user guide is not a cookbook (although it does include a few recipes). Instead, the Thrive User Guide provides all the “instructions” you need for really using freeze dried foods. With it, you can have Thrive Life’s Chef Todd hold your hand with step by step “instructions” for using your freeze dried foods to save time while making your own family favorite recipes. Chef Todd’s new Thrive User Guide gives tips, hydration instructions and fresh product conversions for every Thrive food. It is a beautiful book, very image rich and extremely helpful.
The second month’s package includes a quick tips and reference sheet, and all three months include additional specific tips for the products you receive.
With these tools, you will learn to use one or two ingredients at a time and build up from there. So, in addition to providing you with the best products to start with, the Taste of Thrive packages are like having your own personal “Thrive Coach” in your home.
Yummy Recipes
IF you are looking for a few complete recipes, the Taste of Thrive packages offer that as well. Each month includes 4 recipes that use up to 50% Thrive. These recipes are basic and familiar and yummy! You’ll find things such as Spaghetti, Enchiladas or Peach Crisp.

Three Different Packages:
The Smart Start: Taste of Thrive is meant to be a 3 month learning program, so there are three different boxes or packages available. You can create a Thrive Q (an autoship program you can learn more about here) and then add all three boxes to that Q (use ID# 25806, 25807, and 25809). Then, you will automatically get one each month for the next three months.
Or, purchase just the package that works best for your family. Or, purchase all three packages at once if that suits you!
Remember, Month #1 includes the Thrive User Guide and month #2 includes a quick reference sheet. All three months include tips specific to the products in that particular package.
This is a very flexible “Smart Start” program for getting you going with Thrive in a way that works for you!
*Note: Month #3 will not be available for purchase until early June, 2014
