It’s that most wonderful time of the year! Where the flowers are blooming and the birds are singing and everything is turning green. I really love the spring and the life it brings back to the earth! A huge trend that I’ve been seeing right now is pastels. Quick note: if you see some mint green pants, don’t hesitate, just buy them! They are selling like hot cakes!
I think that pastels are perfect for the spring and you couldn’t get more festive for Easter.
Shades such as whites and greys are great to pair with pastels!
Okay, you might say that you don’t look good in pastels, but that’s not true! You just have to find which shade suits you. Interestingly enough, when choosing what color looks good on you, it has to do with the color of your skin tone. I always thought it had to do with the color of your hair! Well, the natural color of your hair is taken into account, and so is your eye color, but lets focus on your skin tones today.
If your skin tone is WARM (tan, olive, or beige skin) then greens, yellows, reds, and oranges look really good on you. If your skin tone is COOL (fair or pale skin) then pinks, blues, purples, and greens look really good on you. This pallette board is a great source in finding that perfect pastel to enhance your complexion!
Since I have pale skin, I chose pinks, purples, and greens for this post.
I REALLY wanted some mint green pants but I couldn’t find them anywhere! I settled for the skirt instead. It’s just off of being a pastel, but when paired with a light pink top, it worked!
Here’s an inspiration board to help give you some ideas for whats hot this season! Or should I say pale?
Which pastels would look best on YOU?
