Need a Christmas gift/decor idea? No worries, we have a few! But first, have you seen the Paint line and stencils? OH-MY-GOODNESS! The colors are so rich and yummy and they come in five fantabulous finishes: satin, high gloss, glitter, metallic and pearl. The satin paint is so creamy…have you ever wanted to lick your finger while you’re painting? Ummm me neither…until I painted with this stuff! Oh, and my new obsession is with the glitter paint. LOVE it!! There are SO MANY colors to choose from…here are just a few:
Seriously, I had a hard time putting these glitter babies away. But don’t worry, I strategically put them on the very front of my paint shelf…that way they can cha-ching-bling their bits of sparkle to me each and every time I open my craft cupboard!
This line is not your average acrylic craft paint…it’s UV and weather resistant, self priming, and you can use it on wood, glass, metal, and even fabric!
Did you know that they make MAGNETIC paint? I know…what will they think of next?
With my magnetic paint I decided to make a magnetic picture board…which would make an excellent gift! Here is what I used:
My wood is 9″x12″ and the edges are routered but it would look good with sanded edges too! Magnetic Paint, Satin Paint in Summer Haze, a foam roller, and a 1 1/2″ brush…all from the Martha Stewart Crafts line.
This magnetic paint is thick stuff. I poured it on the board and then used the roller to spread it out. The directions on the jar say to use 2-3 coats but I used 4 for good measure! Also, you need to wait an hour in between coats.
After your last coat has dried for 24 hours you can brush on some color!
I dressed my board up with vinyl but you could leave it plain or use a stencil. There you have it! A magnet board to display your cutie pies, your to-do lists, chore chart, recipes, etc.
I LOVE this color! It’s so fresh!
Put some holiday accents on it…wrap it up and give as a gift!
Here are a few more ideas using supplies from the Martha Stewart Crafts line:
Take a basic white frame and paint on candy cane stripes. I used Habanero paint in the satin finish and then topped it off with Candy Apple glitter paint. I used vinyl to get my lines straight or you could use paint tape.
Need an idea to give your table setting some holiday personality?
It was sooooo easy to put these little holly berries on my glasses. The stencils are adhesive and reusable which makes them super simple to use…especially on curved surfaces! For the berries I used Candy Apple glitter paint and the leaves are brushed on with Scottish Highlands in satin paint. The best part about these glasses is…after the paint cures I can put them on the top shelf in the dishwasher and the paint will STAY put!! Awesome!
My little girl LOVES glitter…hmmm…I wonder where she got that obsession? So I brushed pearl paint on her resin flowers and then glammed them up with glitter paint. Also, I wanted to cover the silver clips so I used pearl paint on them as well. This particular clip is painted using Fruit Punch in pearl and then topped with Sugar Cube glitter. What a fun stocking stuffer idea right?
It was a lot of fun using all of these great products! My mind is still swirling with ideas. For more ideas and inspiration visit here.

I was wondering when you made that magnetic border what did you use to make that border you had on the top . I know you used to vinyl but where did you get the design to cut it out?
