What to give your guy for Valentine’s Day?
I’ve been trying to come with ideas for what to give my Valentine, I thought I could give him some of my new favorite cologne, Modern Reserve from Polo. You need to smell this one…mmmm.
or maybe something to make him more comfortable when he comes home from work.
I know I am obsessed with UGG.
And then I thought – why not just ask HIM what he wants for Valentine’s Day?? And that is when I realized the answer is so simple. He wants what EVERY guy wants for Valentine’s Day…
…It is the one day of the year that they KNOW what they’re gettin’ so why not make it a little more fun and throw in some ANTICIPATION.
What do I mean, you ask? Or are you blushing too much to continue? Don’t worry, my mom reads this blog every day:)
Start off by reading this post from Lisa – if you are on the ball you could still pull it off. She wrote it for the 12 days of Christmas but it will work the same for Valentine’s Day. How many days do we have? The 3 days of Valentines. This would be ANTICIPATION at its best!
But for the rest of us slackers, there are plenty of things we can do the day of.
I had great plans for places to hide clues throughout the day while he is at work, but because Valentine’s Day is on Sunday, we are really going to have to get creative. What we want to do is leave clues or hints in places he will find them. Maybe by his toothbrush, in the shower (see Shelley’s post on shower notes), or on the seat of his car. So all day he will be thinking about and ANTICIPATING his present. I’m not going to tell you what to write – that my friends, is up to you.
I did, however, find a bunch of ideas about how you can package your hints. Pick your favorite to use as the theme in delivering your ANTICIPATION clues. OR just give them as they were intended, either way they are creative!

One year the kids and I plastered his walls at work with hearts. Added the sign We gave you a heart attack!. somehow after the story was told a few times around the office and town, some people were convinced that he had had a real heart attack. I still thought it was funny .
