Just in case you missed it, I am in the process of revamping my old office space. (Rumor has it that I am not alone in this project.) I have fallen in love with the Sherwin-Williams Chip It! button, which has helped me choose a color scheme. What colors did I decide to go with?
Many of you guessed it in the comments to this post…and now I can tell you that I decided to go with…drum roll, please…this one:
My decision didn’t come easily, because there were endless choices of directions I could have gone and paint colors I could have chosen. But the inspiration came from my Summer Jars and that was the palette that kept calling my name. It was calming yet vibrant. Warm yet cool. Vintage yet modern. All the elements I wanted to create in my space.
I really want this room to be a place that embodies who I am. So, as far as color ideas, here are some cool pieces that have given me inspiration for this room:
I don’t want to give away too many surprises, so you will have to wait to see the rest!
This is going to be so much fun, and thanks to Chip It! I now (finally) have a direction to move in as I change my office and make it my own! Still haven’t tried Chip It!? Check out their short video here to see how to use it and drag the Chip It! button below to your toolbar:
And to the best part- You have a chance to win a $1,000 Visa gift card and $200 Sherwin-Williams gift card just by tell me about an image that you’d like to try Chip it! with.

My daughter passed away in 2010. Ever since then I have been intending to print and frame some of her great photography and display it in a way that truly honors her spirit. There is one particular photograph that she took from underneath a tree with the camera pointed up to the sky. The result is a tree branch with a single monkey-ball (if you’d known her you’d know that monkey balls were something that always made her giggle). In the ‘background’ is the sky, a grayish-blue that really makes you feel the change of season that nearly-bare trees evoke. I’d love to see what color scheme would be generated by this picture.
