A SimPle addition to your Valentine’s Day decorations
I originally posted this idea last year, but I just got it out and hung it up for this year and thought I would share it again…
My super talented friend Angie (secrets of a supermommy) and I made these banners last year. It was super easy and it adds a festive touch to V-day!
Steps to make one:
1. Pick out some coordinating material
2. Cut triangles with pinking shears
3. Stamp the letters with paint made for material
4. Pin them to a long strip of material (we folded the material over the tops of the triangles)
5. Sew a straight line (we all like the straight line sewing, right?) through all the triangles so that all the triangles are attached to the long strip
6. Add some ribbons here and there to add a little more color if you want
7. Hang, enjoy and think of all the holidays you can make these for!

I like that you don’t have to do much sewing and yet they still turn out so cute! I think I need to invest in a pair of pinking shears. 🙂

Something about banners and catching your attention. Makes you want to read what they say and they make whatever they say seem important. Darling idea!

SO cute! I LOVE this banner!!! (any chance there is one in the mail on it’s way to my house for an upcoming bday?:))
I also love the XO wood letters. I saw these last year and meant to go buy some to paint & forgot. Thanks for the reminder! Maybe this year I’ll actually make some.
PS I used your mailbox idea from your last post and my kids are LOVING them! (okay, kid…Addie doesn’t know the difference yet)Every morning Jack runs to his mailbox to see what’s inside. Today he said to me, “Mom, I love my mailbox!” Thanks for the awesome idea!)

where do you find the large stamps? for the letters
Missy says
I found them at a store called Thursday morning…a sort of discount store that gets random things in, but you could check a craft store. Good News is you can use vinyl cut out letters…just peel out the letter and use the outline like a stencil!

I’m going to use string and colored tape folded in half around it to avoid sewing. Awesome Idea. Thank you
