Check out these 29 amazing infusions to keep you drinking more water! Use a stylish water bottle as an accessory to always have on hand as a reminder to stay hydrated.
2. Surprise Your Taste Buds
Healthy eating doesn’t have to be boring. Surprise your taste buds by creating a charcuterie board. Your taste buds will be dancing the salsa, the rumba, or the Whip/Nae Nae dance (hey, we’re not judging)!
Go for good-for-you appetizers with unique flavor combinations like balsamic glazed figs with goat cheese, quinoa salad with apricots and slivered almonds, and strawberry, pistachio, and mozzarella cheese slices.
3. Create Your Own DIY Energy Drink
If you’re like me, 3:00 in the afternoon hits and I can literally feel the wind seep out of my sails. So, give yourself a healthy pick-me-up with a DIY energy drink. And here are a few others you can try at home:
- Chia Seed, Flax Seed, and Wild Berry Fresca: Puree one cup of fresh or frozen wild berries, then add to two cups of cold water. Add 1 tablespoon of chia seeds and 1 tablespoon of flax seeds. Keep chilled for an immediate energy boost of fiber, protein, calcium, and other great nutrients!
- Citrus Energy Drink: Combine 1/4 cup lemon juice, 1 and 1/2 cups water, 1/8 teaspoon sea salt, and 2 tablespoons of honey. Mix and then chill for a surprising pick-me-up!
- Chocolate Hazelnut Energy Shake: In a blender, combine 3/4 cup water, 1/4 cup whole hazelnuts, 1 tablespoon chia seeds, 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder, 3 pitted dates, a pinch of sea salt, and 10 ice cubes. Then blend to a creamy, energizing perfection!

Plus it up by trying this exciting new combination–hot yoga! You’ll detoxify and flush toxins from your skin in addition to toning and strengthening muscles!
4. Use a Child’s Plate To Keep Portions In Check
Portion sizes are one of the biggest culprits of over-eating. You’ll take the guesswork out of portions by dishing up on a child’s plate. This way, you’ll keep yourself in check when it comes to eating right.
*PLUS IT UP TIP!*
Eating fruits and veggies doesn’t need to be so bland. You’ll eat more fresh fruits and vegetables if you combine them with other exciting flavor combinations! Try marinating veggies like broccoli, cauliflower, and kale in a flavorful homemade vinaigrette, and try macerating strawberries in dark chocolate balsamic vinegar for a sweet and bold taste!
5. Reduce Your Stress with DIY Aromatherapy
Stress has a huge impact on your body. It can cause headaches, skin breakouts, depression, and spike your blood pressure. Stress is the bad guy trying to defeat your healthy lifestyle.
Try this awesome DIY healthy hack: when feeling stressed, rub lavender and tangerine essential oil on your temples. When you want to unwind from a busy day, rub coconut and cacao essential oils on your palms and behind your earlobes.
6. Get Healthier Skin with a DIY Sugar Scrub
Healthy living starts with the largest organ of your body: your skin. While you might be cleansing your skin, if you’re not exfoliating, thousands of dead skin cells are left to build up, making your skin dry, dull, or more prone to breakouts. So, try this healthy living hack for exfoliating and nourishing your skin–create your own sugar scrub using this recipe combining the unique flavors of almond and vanilla. The sugar granules will gently exfoliate and slough off dead skin cells while transporting you straight to your favorite bakery!
DIY Almond Vanilla Sugar Scrub
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
Combine all together and store in on your bathroom counter for several weeks. Before showering or bathing, gently rub almond vanilla sugar scrub to exfoliate skin, rinse with warm water, and then massage in the oils left on your skin for soft, glowing skin.
*PLUS IT UP TIP!*
Your lips need love too! Get rid of dead skin cells on your lips by exfoliating them twice a day for at least 30 seconds with a vanilla almond sugar scrub. Since this scrub is edible, you can just lick it off!
After exfoliating, make sure to nourish your lips with a delicious DIY berry lip balm. Combine 1 teaspoon of coconut oil, 1/2 teaspoon of beeswax (if you don’t have any handy, just use a bit of lip balm), a dash of vitamin E oil, and juice from your favorite berries!
After five days, you’ll achieve hydrated lips that are oh-so-kissable!
So, what do you think? These hacks are 100% doable, right?
