This sounds great, but from the microwave training I’ve gotten as a home economist, I’ve been told that brown paper bags and other bags may have been made from recycled materials and may catch on fire in a microwave.
I’m not trying to be a smart mouth.. but so what if it does catch on fire? There is a remote chance it will . unless you were to plan to really make black popcorn.. It could be put out right away and would be contained in the microwave anyway.. My gas stove has open flames that flare up from time to time.. Fire is not to be feared always and people can be trusted to operate a microwave with paper in it.. just sayin. I think we have gotten overly cautious in this day of law suits.

Not really sure what’s healthy about making anything in a microwave?

Turned out awesome! We used non GMO popcorn, olive oil and sea salt. One minute and fifty seconds was perfect for us. (1000 W)
