Saturday we started out with 4 President’s day activities. It’s President’s Day so here are the other 4!
President’s day activities 5-8. These were just and easy and simple to do as 1-4. Simple, easy, clean…LOVE IT!!! O ya and add cheap!
President’s Day Activities 5-8
5. Adding Adams
1. I took a handful of coins and tossed them out on the lawn. This picture would look better with green grass {{but at least the snow is gone…come on spring…I’m ready!}}
2. The ran after them and I shouted a number…16. They had to find the coins to add up to $0.16. If they can’t add the money yet…like my 5 year old with the blue lips{{she had a sucker before the picture}} just have them pick up whatever. Notice above I said these were cheap activities? Well this one added up. If it wasn’t so fun watching them run, add, and squeel then it wouldn’t have been so spendy because you know you are not going to get the money back!!!
3. Scour the yard after and see what’s left over. Umm I made $0.01.
6. Impressing Eisenhower
The girls laid out pennies and use a crayon to create and impression. She created her own version of the White House.
7. Cleaning Carter
Hello Clean Money!!! After throwing them in the yard, coloring with them, playing with them and money just being dirty. The girls wanted to clean them!
We tried soaking them in vinegar, but the thing that worked the best was to soak in vinegar for a couple minutes and then rub a baking soda/water paste on them. Shiny and new!
8. Tickle Thomas (Jefferson)
I thought it was easy until I tried it. Try to pick up money with just two fingers{{no thumb}}.
Happy Presidents Day!!! We sure are blessed to live in a wonderful country!

These ideas are adorable. Too bad my kiddos aren’t quite old enough to do these activities! Maybe Brad and I will run for money out in our backyard as a date tonight! 😉
