I know you.
You’re that woman (exactly like myself) who loves being crafty, but who sometimes just doesn’t have the energy, the time, or the muscles to lug out her beefy sewing machine. Or maybe you’re terrified of sewing machines. Or needles for that matter.
No biggie…you can still create some (50 to be exact) gorgeous handmade items for your home, your children, and for yourself with this NEW amazing book:
{Ahhh…enter angels singing and a pretty little book descending from the heavens in a cascade of light.}
Written by Ashley Johnston, creator of the popular DIY blog Make It & Love It, No-Sew Love is packed full of beautiful pictures and tutorials of some of the cutest projects that don’t require a needle or thread.
It’s 249 pages of fun projects that a novice can do but that a seasoned crafter will enjoy as well. Each chapter is exciting and will get your creative juices flowing. I was amazed at how many sewing projects you can actually do without a sewing machine (think aprons, skirts, table runners, and tufted headboards!).
You can order No-Sew Love on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or BAM. It is also available in the flesh at stores including Jo-Ann Fabric, Hancock Fabric, and other local Indie Bookstores in your area.
The photos are amazing and make you want to try every single project.
Who knew you could make clothing without using a needle and thread! Ashley has some really cool tricks that you have to see to believe. There are so many fun things you can do with fabric, like no-sew curtains and ruffled pillow covers, cute wristlet key holders, adorable boys boy ties, little girl’s ribbon dresses and skirts…
I could go on all day.
This book is amazing! You really need to see for yourself all of the great projects in it. Here’s just a peek of the one I’m working on for my little guy.
The picture tutorials and directions in this book are incredibly organized and easy to follow.
You could easily make each project based on the pictures alone. I love that because I’m such a visual learner; seeing the process makes it so much easier.
This section on re-purposing projects is so fun and creative!
These wristlet key fobs would make perfect gifts for birthdays, holidays, or just to say “Thanks!”
One of my favorite sections in the book is the Accessories chapter. When I saw this leather fringe necklace, it was love at first sight. Swoon! In this chapter, you’ll find a delicious little woven clutch, a lovely basic tote, and so much more.
Geared especially towards those who either don’t sew, are still learning, or who just want to give the sewing machine a rest, No-Sew Love is a delightful crafting book for anyone who loves a good DIY project…sewist or not.
{Psst…this book would make a perfect gift as well!}
