Are you guys just dying from this heat?? I live in L.A. so the temperature is usually perfect…inside my office building!! Until I go home where we don’t have A/C…then I hate it. Still, it’s so hard to look put together during the summer months as sweat runs down your face into your eyes. And then you try to rub them away and realize your mascara has smeared all over your face giving you raccoon eyes. Am I right, ladies???
Well, I can’t prevent your mascara from running, but I will share my five favorite items that will keep you cool while looking cool this summer!
The maxi
I’m absolutely loving maxis this summer ..whether it’s in the form of a dress or a skirt. Although dresses are MUCH easier. See Exhibit A above: jewelry and sandals? Easy peasy. Or is it peazy…?
Boyfriend shorts
So, they’re called boyfriend shorts but they’re not actually shorts your boyfriend might wear! Or maybe they are? I promise they’ll look better on you. The trick is to have them a little loose and low for a casual feel.
Straw hat
Your cute little head needs some sun protection, too! Get yourself a straw hat so you still get some air ventilation and let that sweat dry itself out! You can also get creative with it and pin a flower on it or wrap a scarf around it!
The white t-shirt
Oh, man. I LOVE these t-shirts. When I’m not blogging “pretty” outfits, I live, eat, and breathe in these t-shirts. In fact, I am wearing one as we speak. I may or may not have washed it in a while, but you can’t see me so it’s OK. What can I say? I love white t-shirts! Get a pack of nine at your nearest Wal-mart for like $15 because you’re going to love me for it. You have to get the tagless ComfortSoft ones. They’re the legit kind.
Flat sandals that are NOT flip-flops
..because flip-flops are gross! Sandals are cuter and disguise the grossness so much better. So next time, ditch your flip-flops and reach for those hardly worn sandals instead because it’ll make your outfit look 10x better. Possibly even 11x.

I love these summer tips! I’d better go buy myself some cute flat sandals. I am guilty of the gross flip-flops. 😉

Love the ideas. I think my favorite is the maxi dress. Looks so comfortable. Of course the straw hat would be nice too!
