I`d like to introduce you to our fabulous guest this week. Meet Eva! She hails all the way from Geneva. Can you believe it? You have to love technology! We are so thrilled that she is here to share a fabulous tutorial with all of us, even though English is not her first language. That’s courage! She is incredibly creative and I love her style. I’m Eva, coming from Barcelona and living in Geneva since 2001 with my
husband and my 4 children. I love crafts and I love to share with you all in my blog. You can find everything I make and also the hair accessories I create for my brand Eva’s House.
I was requested to make a DIY craft and I am showing you how to make your
own scarf with fabric. So let’s begin :
1- Cut a rectangle with your favorite fabric, about 200x50cm.
2- Fold the edges and stitch along.
3- Take 2 different colors of thread wool that matches your fabric.
4- Hand stitch the bottom and the top of the scarf like this
5- Make 8 tassels following the photos and the instructions :
Tassel Instructions:
1. cut a winding board, that should be double the length of the tassel
2. wind thread around board in loops until you reach desired fullness
3. lay it horizontally with a piece of thread.
4. Slide wound thread off board
and center it. Tie a knot
5.Pull ends upward and wound threads downward
6. Cut throug looped ends and adjust into tassel shape
7. Cut a pink thread to wrap tassel neck and tie it into a tight knot
8. Repeat the last step in the bottom’s tassel
The tassel is done ! Now back to the scarf.
6- Sew the tassels proportionally to the end of the scarf , 4 in every
side
7- Wear it and enjoy it !
