I have so many fond childhood memories that include playing with my dollhouse. I’d spend hours dreaming up stories and acting them out from room to room with my Barbies. That’s why I was so excited when my daughter started showing an interest in dolls. I knew a dollhouse of her own was in our near future!
When the holidays rolled around last year, I started doing quite a bit of research on the different dollhouses available. 1. It’s BIG and sturdy. This is definitely not a dinky toy that’s only going to last a few months. It’s over 4 feet tall and about 3 feet wide…and it’s built to last. I have no doubt we’ll be able to pass this dollhouse down to our younger kids.
2. It comes with FURNITURE! Many of the houses that I looked at didn’t…so I knew that would be an extra expense–not to mention, one more thing on my holiday to-do list. The furniture that comes with the dollhouse is a great size for Barbies and it’s held up perfectly over the last year.
3. It’s not an eyesore! The muted colors and traditional look of this dollhouse are one of the things that initially drew me to it. So many others out there are BRIGHT and what I would consider loud…just not exactly what I wanted as a piece of furniture in my daughter’s room.
I’m not exaggerating when I say my daughter plays with this dollhouse every single day…and it’s still in perfect condition! I love watching her play and seeing her little imagination run wild as she moves her dolls throughout the house. Even her little brother likes to join in on the fun!
