I can’t believe the holidays are here already. Life with a newborn is chaotic. I swear. Never in my life have I been so busy and accomplished so little. I’m sure many of you can relate. But still, I want to look like I have it all together when I get invited to a party. That’s why I always turn to this fabulous crostini recipe when I’m asked to bring an appetizer. It’s so easy I could cry.
So here are your players: A baguette, Granny Smith apples, brie cheese, cream cheese and blue cheese. Not many ingredients but they give this crostini a ton of flavor.
Baked brie has this yummy, buttery flavor (as opposed to camembert which has a nutty flavor according to the cheese connoisseur also known as my husband). It’s totally different than cold brie cheese. Some cheeses are transformed into a new creature when baked and brie is one of them.
Granny Smith apples add a yummy tart flavor as well as make it pretty.

Mrs. Peacock, Mrs. Scarlett and Mrs. Peach all thought they were amazing! Just the right snack to help us discover that the murder was committed by Mr. Green in the garden with poison. Oooooooooh!

Kim says
Do you cut the rind off the Brie before putting it on the baguette?
Sarah says
Leave the rind on the Brie. It gives it a great, nutty flavor when cooked.
