unusual baby gift
Kids play with them way more than real toys.
They are a lot more sturdy than real toys.
They are a lot cheaper than real toys.
They will make you the coolest Aunt ever!
Add a bit of vinyl to a batch of these beauties
and you have the perfect gift for a toddler!
Stroll around in your cupbords to see if you have amazingly cool pots that don’t match {{it’s spring cleaning time}}
Wooden spoons that you have WAY too many of and you’ve become…
The coolest Aunt!
My sister may not agree.
But her daughter sure does. Next time I’ll fill them with candy. Lots of it!
Happy Pot hunting {{Check the thrift store…only a buck fifty for the yellow one}}
I’d love to know what you’ve given to be the ‘coolest’ aunt:)

That is sweet! You don’t really need to spend a lot of $$ on baby presents. I do like the idea of stuffing them with candy though:) Fun idea!
Charity says
I love this idea…. even though I’m sure your sister didn’t appreciate the genius of it. :o)

I gave a large tub full of rice and sand toys! Toddler Emma loved it!! She had so much fun playing in the indoor sand box…apparently it was too messy for her mom though 🙂
Alison says
Oh I am totally giving this next year! 🙂
Sarah Scott says
Oh so just to be clear you didn’t actually paint the pots you just hunted for colored ones?
Alison says
Yep…just found pretty colored pots:) I didn’t what the paint to chip.
Peggy says
This is crazy awesome! Now to find some cool looking pots and someone who has a toddler who needs a gift! 🙂

These are darling.
One year to be the “coolest” aunt, I hunted down an entire collection of coins minted the year my nephew was born, then put them in a treasure chest shaped box from the craft store. It didn’t cost much, but it turned out really cute. I should have taken a picture!
Anna says
That’s adorable, and I love the yellow pot. A few years ago the toy of the year was a remote controlled car that used suction to be able to ride on walls and ceilings. My sister has a huge house and at that time the walls were still pretty bare, so I figured it would be the perfect thing for my car/remote loving nephew. Best present ever!

What an awesome idea! On another note – if your sister is Annie tell her Jenni says hi and that the AL crowd misses her and those sweet girls!
