We have a monster in our house. Luckily, he’s not a very scary one. He comes out usually right after dinner, but right before bedtime. He,… is our .
In a deep not-so-scary voice, our Tickle Monster whispers, “I’m gonna GET you, I’m GONNA GET YOU!” It’s really the basic game of chasing and squealing, but oh it does my heart good. My kids try to reach the official ‘safe zone’, but they inevitably get caught by the Tickle Monster and, of course, are TICKLED. Lots.
There are few things better in this world, than kids laughing. The best is when you hear a gut laugh that is so genuine, you know it must hurt their tummy a little.
Then they all BEG to have a turn as the Tickle Monster, but let’s be honest. Daddy does it best.
And once they’re all tuckered out, they usually ask for one of their favorite bedtime stories: The Tickle Monster.
This sweet and simple nightly game, is one of the joys I look forward to every day. I’m sure glad we have a Tickle Monster living at our house. Do you have one living at your home too? I think they are common monsters. 😉

I think it’s so important for traditions to be made early in a child’s life and why not start when it’s first born with reading to her nightly. I KNOW Max is going to make a wonderful father to their little girl and having his first Father’s Day right before she is born (we hope) is really special.
Max and their daughter already “play” together. Yes, you heard me correctly, they play together. Max started doing “raspberries” on Finn’s tummy and she in turn kicks Max away. Hahaha we’re not sure if Finn considers it much fun but now when she hears her Daddy’s voice she begins kicking. I believe this bond began before she shows herself will continue throughout her life.
We all know how girls need their Daddy’s and having the Tickle Monster kit is going to keep their fun time of bonding going and this time Finn won’t get ‘caught in the middle’.

Oh my goodness, what fun this set would be. We have 4 little ones and the day is just not complete without a round of “Tickle Torture!” Sometimes it’s one on one and sometimes it’s all 6 of us involved. I would love to have a Tickle Monster kit in our home. When our three children were little, my husband would become the “Tickle Monster” (said with a loud, slightly scary, fun voice with hands formed into monster claws) and chase the kids around the house, too. They loved it. Now that they are all grown and are parents themselves, Grandad entertains our three adorable granddaughters with the Tickle Monster. This is ADORABLE! I love it! We have a tickle monster at our house, but I didn’t even know there was a story (or the cute gloves). I would absolutely LOVE to give this to our tickle monster for Father’s Day! We have this book and LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! I have never seen the little tickle gloves, however. Those would be SO FUN to have! I would love a tickle monster kit to relieve contention at our house. When I get mad and say “That’s it, you’re gonna get it!” They wonder what they are going to get. Of course they expect a grounding, a phone to be taken away and extra chore or time out. Then I start to run after them and say “I’m gonna tickle you to death.” The chase begins. I tickle until we are smiling and giggling. Then we catch our breath and the tension is gone and we can usually get back on track with what we need to do or talk about. It defuses anger and frustration and it works on all 4 of my kids age 19 to 3. But truthfully our family needs to see the tickle monster a little more often and with this kit, maybe the kids wouldn’t mind being the tickle monster too. That way they can resolve their disputes with each other.

When they were little my husband would come home from work every day, walk in the door and shout, “I’m gonna get some babies!” They would scream and run as fast as they could to jump on our bed.
