Disney for the Holidays
The holidays will be here before you know it and if you are starting to stress out about what to give your family, fret no more. We have the perfect gift for your entire family… a Disneyland vacation! Our family has been leaning more and more away from traditional “presents” and instead doing a memory making trip or event. Obviously, that’s not for everyone, but consider the possibility. Not that you need reasons, (who doesn’t love Disneyland?) but here are just three reasons why a Disneyland vacation should be the gift for your family this holiday season:
1.It won’t clutter your house, get lost, broken or returned.
2. There’s nothing better or more meaningful than spending time away from daily life together.
3. The magic and memories extend long beyond Christmas morning. This is especially true if you give the gift of a future vacation – you have all of the anticipation before you go leading up to your vacation, the actual vacation, and all of the memories when you get back.
The Disneyland vacation Christmas gift travel can be done a few ways.
First, if you want to experience all of the holiday festivities at Disneyland, you can plan a trip before the holidays to kick off the season. You’ll beat the holiday crowds, and trust me; it’s something you’ll remember forever. Of course, there’s always the Christmas morning reveal that announces your vacation begins immediately. This is the ultimate hype and surprise. If you go with the right attitude and don’t mind the crowds, it is amazing.
The third is the vacation reveal of a future trip. Your family gets the news that you’ll be going to Disneyland, and then you all get to anticipate together. There are so many fun things that you can do before your vacation to keep the excitement and magic of Christmas morning going long after the tree has been put away. Check out our count down idea HERE.
If you want to go to Disneyland over the holidays this year, you are in for one of the most magical and memorable vacations of a lifetime. The official holidays begin on November 13 and continue through January 6, 2016. Since this year is Disneyland’s 60th anniversary, this year is going to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience since it’s the only time the Diamond Celebration and Holidays at the Disneyland Resort collide.
Here are 10 things to look forward to at the Holidays at Disneyland this year:
1. A Christmas Fantasy Parade featuring larger than life toy soldiers, gingerbread cookies, reindeer and more plays daily down Main Street U.S.A.
2. The Disneyland Resort goes over the top with trimming the trees. Santa is also making appearances and taking down names for his nice list at Disneyland and California Adventure.
3. World of Color – Winter Dreams is the holiday version of the nighttime spectacular hosted by everyone’s favorite snowman, Olaf.
4. Speaking of Olaf, his Snow Fest is returning to Disney California Adventure only for the holidays. You’ll be able to sled, build a snowman, and celebrate Christmas like they do in Arendelle.
5. Special holiday overlays are coming to “it’s a small world” holiday, Haunted Mansion Holiday and the “Jingle” Cruise.
6. Paint the Night is the 60th anniversary parade that everyone is talking about. It will play nightly during the holidays.
7. Disneyland Forever is the 60th anniversary fireworks spectacular that will play during the holidays.
8. Season of the Force brings Star Wars to Tommorrowland for a limited time with character meet-n-greets, Space Mountain Hyperspace, updates to Star Tours – The Adventures Continue, and so much more.
9. Sleeping Beauty Castle shines bright with its Diamond Celebration overlay.
10. The food! Handcrafted sweets and seasonal treats are only available during the holidays. If you’re going over the holidays, there are even special Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day meals available. These meals sell out, so you’ll want to make reservations in advance. Reservations can be made 60 days in advance by calling 714.781.DINE (3463).
