Thank You! We love you!
You are the reason a little blog 6 years ago has turned into what is now HowDoesShe.com. Because it is fun to share good news with the people you love, we want to share something we are pretty excited about! About six weeks ago we were interviewed by Costco and did a quick photo shoot in hopes of landing the cover of the Costco Connection. Flash forward; The Costco Connection August 2015 edition is being delivered this week, and we are featured on the cover!
The Costco Connection magazine is delivered to all Costco Members (executive and business) and has a circulation of 8.5 MILLION! (Knowing our faces were printed 8.5 million times is a little intimidating to say the least! Ha!) It is the 3rd largest magazine in the United States (above People, Better Homes and Gardens, and Reader’s Digest!)
The last time we had pictures taken together was 5 years ago by the fabulous Amy Lynn Blake. Funny how fast styles change. Why I thought it was a good idea to put a little black bow/flower in my hair I can not say.
When Costco started asking for pictures we scrambled a little trying to figure out how to get them more current pictures with us living all over the country. But as luck would have it, Shelley was in Idaho visiting relatives and was flying out of SLC so I made a quick trip down to all meet up in SLC and we did a last minute photo shoot with the fabulous, Travis J Photography.
Sweet Ginger and her darling sister Kylee who owns Roolee Boutique did our styling. Those clothes were perfect! If you need some fun clothing head over there!
The talented Vivian Makeup Artist did Alison’s make up.
Our behind the scenes video shoot was put together by the talented Russ Olsen.
We were so happy to have Kylee Roolee Boutique meet us at the studio to help us with our outfits and make sure we didn’t clash with each other.
It was so fun to be all together in person again…after 5 years! ichat is great – but nothing like a great big bear hug and seeing someone in person.
Thanks and credit for the behind the scenes pictures goes to Alison’s 10 year old daughter/photographer:)
Now we can cross cover girls off our bucket list. Ha!:)
If you don’t get the Costco Connection and want to check it out – it is available online, here.

My daughter is a cosmetologist and recommended coconut oil to me for my hair a few years ago, but I got out of the ‘habit’ of using it. After reading Missy’s post about coconut oil, I pulled out my jar and did a treatment. Why did I quit doing this?
Thanks Missy for kick starting me into using it again for my hair.
P.S. Love the site!

I meant to post the previous one I did earlier under another posting of yours, but ended up here. 🙂 So happy for you all and the cover. Really an affirmation for all you have done and are accomplishing. Congratulations!

Mary Ann, I’d check with Costco customer service. They’d be able to tell you. Good luck!
