LOVE and…money, isn’t that what we really want for mother’s day!…okay maybe a nap too!A day to be celebrated for our hard work. Whether or not we have children. We are all mothering someone somewhere…it’s who we are…Women!
We love…LoVE. We love to give and receive it!
I LOvE hearing my husband say,” I don’t know how you do all the things you do.” {{ Now if I can just get him to say it with out a smirk on his face then it would be perfect!}} I LoVE when my kids draw me pictures of lopsided hearts and tell me they love me or make me homemade crafts. I LoVE to be loved by my family!
Missy saw this idea for teacher appreciation(Thanks Everything Pink).
They gathered a few dollars from each student and and the same amount of ‘love’ notes made them into a note pad for teacher appreciation day
…well what about turning it into a mother’s day present?
I would lOVE to receive this from my kids/husband! {{okay…enough ‘love’}}
Get 30 one dollar crisp (new) bills or however much you want…ummm how about $100:)
Call your bank first to see if they have new bills. I had to find out the hard way that not all banks carry new bills. I thought that was just standard that you could get new money from a bank…I guess not a credit union…or at least the one I go to. I had to go back 3 times. You would have thought this to be a simple task.
Anyway, cut paper until you get 30 pieces the same size as the money.
They need to have a nice straight cut or it won’t work as nicely.
Turn them into a notepad by ‘pading’ the ends. Your office supply store can cut it for a couple dollars and do the padding for about $0.50.
After you have padded it…write 1 of 30 reasons why you love mom on each paper.
Slip a dollar in between each paper. So you have paper, dollar, paper, dollar…
Wrap a big fat ribbon around it!
O ya, forward this link on to your hubby so he can make this with your kids this week!
Happy Mother’s Day!

Neat idea!! As long as there was enough money inside for my wife to get a massage for Mother’s Day I know she would LOVE it. Okay, okay, she would love it anyway. I am still considering the massage and day without the kidos though.

If you wash your money in soapy water and then iron it on a low setting, it will turn nice and crisp! Just like new again. Cute idea!

too bad Canada has the loonie and the twoonie coins…this is a cute idea. It would get pretty expensive to do this with $5.00 bills. LOL!

LOVE this!!! Would love to receive it…but even more fun to give it so am planning it for my hubby for Father’s Day since he’s always complaining he never has any cash to spend as he chooses… he does leave me in charge of funds for a reason… lol!

“Your office supply store can cut it for a couple dollars and do the padding for about $0.50.” – Hi! I’m excited to do this for my SIL’s 40th bday, but wondered what you meant by having the office store do cutting for you. Is that a part of the “padding” process, or will they actually cut all the paper for you?
Thanks, and Happy New Year!
