Are you afraid of adding bright colors, this winter, to your drab clothing? I’ll admit it. Sometimes I get a little nervous that I will look like my 3 year old daughter–a hodge-podge of mismatched patterns and colors. But, if you have noticed, color is everywhere right now and I can’t get enough of it. I have a lot of black clothing in my closet, so I have learned that I have to make it more exciting by adding a few colorful accessories. For example, I really love this top from Down East Outfitters and my Express leggings, but sometimes an all black outfit can feel boring and bland. What if I want to stand out? I am going to show you how to add a few quick and cheap fixes to make this outfit pop.
3 Accessories to Make Any Outfit Pop with Color
1. BRIGHT TIGHTS AND SOCKS
Socks are are so cheap and easy to wear with anything. I especially love these colorful H & M socks because they come with 5 pairs in a pack and have a cute ruffle at the top of each. I love to wear colorful socks in the winter because they add an element of surprise to any look.
(Target tights are cheap and come in every color)
Purses are another great way to add color to a colorless outfit. I love this bright purple purse from H & M; at under $20 it comes in lots of great colors. The best part about it is you can use this for a day or night look. It’s good to go for summer, winter, or spring.
A necklace is probably the easiest and most non-stressful way to add color to a boring look. It makes everything look so effortless and beautiful. I love this accordion yellow necklace from Anthropologie (sale). I can wear it with pretty much anything and it makes the look complete.
